My personal and academic goals align harmoniously with the objectives of the GetFund
scholarship program, making me a strong candidate for this prestigious opportunity.
As a dedicated and driven individual, my personal goal is to make a positive impact in my
community, by contributing to its development through education. I am passionate about
pursuing a higher education to enhance my knowledge, skills, and abilities in my field of work.
Academically, my goal is to excel in the field of Health System Research and Management,
harnessing the scholarship's resources to achieve academic excellence and make meaningful
contributions through research, management and innovation.
Describe your involvement and the outcome of one significant community leadership initiative in
which you played a role
I was part of the leadership that promotes an environmental sustainability initiative that focuses
on promoting eco-friendly practices and advocating for conservation efforts in the Likpe
communities. By organizing clean-up campaigns, tree planting through the support of green
initiatives, and education on recycling and proper waste management systems, we encouraged
sustainable behaviors such as avoidance of: bush fire during the dry season, indiscriminate
deforestation, pollution of water bodies, etc. The initiative resulted in a cleaner and greener
community in the Likpe communities in the Oti region.
What is your vision for your community
By securing the scholarship, I aim not only to advance my academic pursuits but also to leverage
the opportunity to give back to my community. I aspire to make a positive impact in my
community by contributing to its growth and development.

industry or community. Additionally, explain why you believe obtaining sponsorship through the
GETFund Scholarship is crucial in addressing these challenges. If applicable, outline any specific
challenges within your chosen industry or community that you are passionate about solving through
your academic pursuits
One of the challenges I encountered as a Public Health Worker is how to advocate for policies
that support public health goals and address social determinants of health presents a challenge
due to the complex policy landscape and competing interests. Through postgraduate studies
funded by the GetFund Scholarship, I can deepen my understanding of health policy analysis,
advocacy for strategies and policy implementation frameworks. This will empower me to
effectively advocate for evidence-based policies, influence decision-makers, and drive systemic
changes that promote public health.
Another challenge I encountered as Public Health Officer is engaging the community and
garnering support for public health initiatives proved challenging at times, as varying levels of
participants existed. Pursuing postgraduate studies through the GetFund Scholarship will equip
me with enhanced communication and community engagement skills, as well as a deeper
understanding of community dynamics and cultural sensitivities. This will enable me to

Another area of concern is working with limited resources, which hindered the implementation of
comprehensive public health programs and interventions. By obtaining a GetFund scholarship for
postgraduate studies, I can acquire advanced skills and expertise that will enable me to optimize
resource utilization, develop innovative solutions for resource management, and design cost-
effective public health initiatives.
How do you envision that obtaining a undergraduate,postgraduate degree through the GETFund
Scholarship will contribute to overcoming challenges and making a meaningful impact on both
yourself and your community?
The postgraduate degree through the GETFund Scholarship will enhance my expertise, it
provides in-depth knowledge, specialized skills, and expertise in the specific areas of healthcare.
This advanced level of education equips healthcare professionals with the tools needed to
address complex health challenges.
Additionally, postgraduate education supported by GETFund Scholarship exposes healthcare
professionals to international best practices. This exposure broadens their understanding of the
interconnectedness of health issues, enriches their knowledge base, and inspires innovative
approaches to addressing local health challenges.
Moreover, by investing in postgraduate education for healthcare professionals, the GETFund
Scholarship program contributes to building a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving
demands of the health sector. Trained and knowledgeable professionals are better equipped to
address public health emergencies, implement evidence-based practices, and make sustainable
impact in healthcare service delivery.

My strengths are: strong communication skills, passion for community health activities, critical
