Essay On Human African Trypanosomiasis
Human African Trypanosomiasis is a disease sweeping across the Sub Saharan Africa. Until recent
years, Human African Trypanosomiasis is now on a downward decline. Even with the significant
declines in cases, Human African Trypanosomiasis is still considered a neglect tropical disease.
Human African Trypanosomiasis is known, as the sleeping sickness, which is caused through
parasite transmission from bites of the Tsetse flies when picked up from human, or animal hosts
(World Health Organization, n.d.). When over coming neglected tropical diseases culture is of the
utmost essence when incorporating change. In area such as Kenya and Uganda gender, roles and
activities aid in the transmission of Human African Trypanosomiasis. Male often times are the
hunter gathers for the family and or employed in area s of forest density. The cultures in which these
individuals live and work place them at great risk. One major obstacle the must be overcome is
education. Illiteracy and informal education places theses individuals at gave risk of continuing the
Human African Trypanosomiasis cycle. Educating the public about clothing and protect when

Farming of different crops impedes greater transmission rate due to the no need for the use of
pesticides. A worker in coffee bean and banana vegetation farms is at a far greater risk of
transmission compared to individuals within other crop farms. As stated before it is crucial to
education on personal protective clothing against the Tsetse fly. Education is needed to understand
the dynamic environments the Tsetse fly inhabits and can sustain. Educating about livestock in areas
of housing, due to some species serve as hosts although zoonotic transmission is not as well

Tintin Wulia s 5 Tonnes of Homes and Other Understories (2016) and Keg de Souza s the earth
affords them no food at all (2017) are both artworks that are hanging devices suspended from the
ceiling. Wulia s work is composed of layers of compressed cardboard pieces into a box shape.
Each layer of cardboard features a series of drawings symbolizing Wulia s work in Hong Kong.
The work overall adds to the gallery a vague sense of austerity, it exposes the working condition of
domestic labours in a foreign country and the oppression. Keg de Souza is an Australian artist who
has produced a series of work involving food and food culture, one of which is exhibited in the
IMA called the earth them no food at all (2017). The work consists of vacuumed packed food
representing the main food group that is often consumed by Australian such as: Tim Tams,

Conflict Between Native Americans And British Settlers
In the seventeenth century, there were many clashes between British settlers and Native Americans
in New England. The British landed in what they believed to be a desolate wilderness which they
would tame and civilize in the name of the Christian God. They viewed the people they encountered
there as savage, primitive, and uncivilized almost less than human. The settlers regarded this new
land as unowned theirs for the taking. The Natives, on the other hand, saw the British as greedy,
entitled invaders who threatened their way of life, and their existence altogether. As a result, these
two groups often clashed, and struggled to peacefully coexist. This can be seen in, A Relation of the
First Troubles in New EnglandBy reason of the Indians there, which recounts, in detail, the various
quarrels between Natives Americans and British settlers in New England. In this essay, I will argue
that the document shows that conflict between the Native Americans and the British settlers war,
violence, threats and intimidation was completely inevitable due to a lack of communication, a lack
of understanding between the two groups, and the desire by the British settlers to conquer the
untamed, uncivilized New World and the natives inhabiting it. My first point is that conflict between
the British settlers and the Native Americans in New England was inevitable due to a lack of
communication between the two groups. Though it goes without saying, when the English arrived in

Emmanuel Kant and Moral Theory
One of Kant s greatest contributions to moral theory is the concept of pure practical reason that, as
an alternative to moral sense theory or teleological ethics, more positively views the capability of
fallible individuals to act morally. Practical reason, the basis of Kantian metaphysics, was
revolutionary because it challenged skepticism towards human moral capacities and insisted that the
moral faculty is an implicit part of common human reason. Practical reason is an instrumental
theory in Kant s Metaphysics of Morals and greatly contributes to the deontological, duty based
ethical theory developed in his book. However, the concerns of practical reason are only one part of
the book s message, which also seeks to show the methodology by which individuals derive moral
truths and the fundamental nature of these truths. Overall, Kant s philosophical works are still
extremely relevant to modern political and philosophical conflicts and his legacy survives in the
essential concepts of liberalism, egalitarian ethics, social contract theory, cosmopolitan global justice,
and many others. Kant is also considered the founder of the 18th century doctrine of transcendental
idealism and many of his published works including The Metaphysics illustrate his efforts to
reconcile rational and empirical schools of thought. These efforts are displayed in The Metaphysics
in his new moral theory that aligns rationalist self evident truths with empirical certainly in

Studying Family Systems Theories Over The Past Two Semesters
While studying family systems theories over the past two semesters, I discovered, that all methods
demonstrate validity and success, some models speak more thoroughly to my therapeutic style. The
methods that I related to the most are Solution Focused and Strategic Therapy. Both techniques focus
on the client s strengths and not the pathology of the problem. MRI strategic practices and
techniques influenced the creators of Solution Focused Therapy, Steve De Shazer, and his
colleagues. Both approaches have the ability to address familyand individual problems in a brief time
frame.
MRI delivers a comprehensive coverage of theory while SFT delivers a comprehensive coverage
of approach (Zola, 2007). MRI believes that problems are not individually based, but instead are
sustained by feedback loops and failed attempted solutions that are maintaining the problem
(Cade, 1980). An MRI therapist does not define healthy or normal families; therefore
asymptomatic families are viewed as a family or individual that has functioning feedback loops.
When a problem behavior increases and becomes more disruptive, the family system applies
positive feedback to calm the problem. However, the feedback provided, or solution , as it called,
may be the incorrect solution for the problem. In turn, the feedback can either exacerbate the
problem or create a new more severe issue (Rohrbaugh Shoham, 2001). SFT views that problems
arise from individuals and families getting trapped in a
Herta Muller Research Paper
Herta Müller
Writing is told from within ones self through expressions and thoughts. Creating stories are what
people do as they walk through life, opening and closing doors, and creating history. Becoming
banned to publish in your own country about the struggles and accomplishments throughout your
childhood you would not think would be a problem. It takes unique individuals to accomplish this.
Nobel Prize winner of Literature in 2009, Herta Muller has done this. Her intense, descriptive
novels, essays, poems, and short stories explaining her issues and strategies growing up in a country
which forced labor and banned her from publication is why she won. Herta Müller has discovered
strength and independence through writing, becoming the woman she is today.

With strategic language, details, and events laid out, she writes in a way which carries her stories
and makes them a magnificent read. She recited everything in such detail, in ways it is as if you
are in the middle of the dictatorship where which she suffered in Romania. Professor Pete
Englund, Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy states, She has a story to tell growing up
in a dictatorship and a minority in another country. And, also, growing up in sort of a stranger for
your own family. These words describe in a summary how Müller feels about not only Romania,
but Germany too. A quote from Herta Müller: It is very conservative minority and thus I was
exuded, and I always was exuded from Romanian society for political reasons. And then I came to
Germany and here in Germany I was always the Romanian, and in Romania I was always the
German. So somehow one is always the other. Müller not only found ways to live with the frown of
her home country but also the negativity of Germany, but also posses great characteristics in
The Abolition Of Slavery Dbq
The issue of slavery was left out of the Declaration of Independence for a reason, but why? We ll
also go over what the abolition of slavery is. We will find out whether abolition was present in the
colonies during the American Revolution. And we will discuss how Lord Dunmore s 1775
Proclamation influenced the Declaration of Independence. Those are the topics we will be covering
today. First things first Thomas Jefferson wanted to add slaverys abolition to the declaration, but it
caused a lot of dispute and was taken off in the end. Jefferson believes this is due Abolition of
slavery is the end to the slave trade. Abolition was present in the colonies during the American
Revolution because they were getting rid of British law in exchange
Data Analysis And Interpretation Of The Data Essay
Data Analysis and Interpretation
The objective of this chapter is to describe the procedures used in the analysis of the data and present
the main findings. It also presents the different tests performed to help choose the appropriate model
for the study. The chapter concludes by providing thorough statistical interpretation of the findings.

The research data was analyzed using a statistical software called STATA. Before running the data
for the regression analysis, panel unit root test was performed to see if data is stationary over time
so that it can be used in estimating the variables in question. The value of the variables in the model
throughout the research period is not constant; that means, there are some periods where there are
spikes. These periods of ups and downs in value of economic variables are called shock in economic
jargon. The notion behind testing for stationarity is to identify whether the effect of such shocks is
permanent or transitory. If the effect of such shocks is temporary, the subsequent values of the
variables will return to their long term equilibrium suggesting that the data is stable even with the
presence of shocks.
4.1. Presentation and Interpretation of research findings
Table 4.1 presents the panel unit root test results. There are two groups of hypotheses that are
involved here. In the first four methods, the null hypothesis is: there is panel unit root and the
alternative hypothesis is: there is no panel unit root and the decision

also a transition away from the strict ideals of the high classical moment. The early classical
