RESOLUTION NO. 010, Series 2020

“RESOLUTION REGULATING THE SALE OF CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOLIC


BEVERAGES TO MINORS OF BARANGAY POBLACION, PITOGO
ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR”

WHEREAS, smoking tobacco/cigars/cigarettes and drinking liquor among


minors are rampant not only in this barangay, but all over the country;

WHEREAS, information and reports relayed by some cause-oriented groups


and non-government organizations to this Sangguniang Panlungsod reveal
that many elementary pupils and high school students in the city are
already learning the habit of smoking cigarettes and drinking liquor ;
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of every government, being the guardian
of the people, to keep the little children away from the bad habit of smoking
any tobacco product and/or drinking liquor;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Mr. Policarpio E. Delos Reyes and unanimously


seconded by all the member present, it was;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to pass a resolution resolution


regulating the sale of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages to minors of
Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo Zamboanga Del Sur;

LET, copies of this resolution be furnished to all concerned offices, this


municipality for their information, guidance and implementation.
