1 Switch button is at lower right side of the ECDIS screen (soft touch switch) Push/Touch
ON/OFF
2.2 As per function of what a user wish to access is at the screen.
2.3 Menu is at the middle right side of the screen.
2.4 Day/Night menu and brightness control is at the left side of the ECDIS screen, Brillance control
is at the lower right side of the screen.
2.5 Click menu, Chart display, General then on Symbols you can choose paper chart or simplified
display. Paper chart display is commonly use.
2.6 Left upper part of the ECDIS screen, you can choose Navi for route-monitoring mode and Plan
for route planning mode.
2.7 By using the ECDIS mouse (Roller) you can Zoom in/out an ENCon the screen. Scale of the
ENC can be viewed on the upper left side of the screen .
2.8 ECDIS Display commonly set on Custom display as per user’s mode/Preferences. Standard
Display can be access through the Menu/ Chart display/ Standard display can be accessed
throughthe Menu/ Chart Display/ Standard or just click STD DISP on the upper right side of the
screen.
2.9 Click Menu/ Chart display/ Text/ All other.
2.10 Menu/ TT/AIS / Nav Status/ Own Ship.
2.11 Display or menu/ Chart Alert
2.12 Disp/ SET/ Chart Display/ General/ Tick on four shades.
2.13 Disp/ Set/ Chart Alert.
2.14 Disp/ Set/ Chart Alert or Display or on Overlay Navtools menu on the lower right side you can
set safety parameters like look ahead, etc.
2.15 Alerts are given by on lower right side of the screen, checking the alarm by mouse cursor can
acknowledge the alarm and by double clicking the info menu can determine the information about
the alarm.

3.1 Click Charts/ Manage Charts/ Check Charts on Chart type.


Note: Only ENC’s are use on ship’s ECDIS.
3.2 Charts/ Manage Charts/ Tick or select Chart (ENC) to be displayed/ Click on open chart.
3.3 Charts/ license/ Import licenses/ Select permit file on USB(Master/Txt).
3.4 Chart/ Suto import/ Elect DVD Drive(Disc) or USB Drive. (M01X02/ M01X02 etc) from
Voyager 7.
3.5 Charts/ Cell status
3.6 Charts/ Auto import/ Select file on USB as extracted from Voyager 7 App.

3.8 Right Click on ENC where will apply the update/ Click Manual Update/ Add new(example)/
then choose what symbol(etc) to be used as update to particular ENC.

4.4 Click the ? On the upper right side/ Click About.
4.5 Be sure that the Marine Notices are tick onn the Chart Display/ Marine Notices are diplayed on
ENC’s where it was located/ Right click on the Notice/ Choose preliminary notice/ Click select then
you can access the information about the marine notice.
4.6 DISP/SET/ Chart Display/ NtoM/ Untick the Notices or information then save.
4.7 Click STD DISP

4.9 Right lower part/ Overlay/ Navtools.
4.10 Lower right and left side of the screen.

4.13 Paper Charts are accessible.

5.1 NAVI/ VOYAGE/ ROUTE/ SELECT Move to Plan.


5.2 PLAN/ New.

5.4 PLAN/ New or Edit Route/ Save as or Save as is)
5.5 You can edit/ delete or adjust position of waypoints or common function by mouse cursor on
planning mode.

5.7 On Planning Mode, You can double click waypoints on Planned Route to be displayed on the
screen.
5.8 on Planned Rote, You can edit Radius data on each waypoints, Plan speed etc.
5.9 On Chart Display/ Tick on all Marine Notices.
5.10 On planned Route Menu Click Check results/ Click Check route.
5.11 NAVI/ Voyage/ Route then select the Planned Route. Note: The 2 ECDIS Systems are
Syncronized.

6.1 Click NAV/VOYAGE/ ROUTE Click on Planned Route/ Click Open.


6.2 * XTD of the Primary route is colored yellow.
* XTD of the Alternate route is arrange and which is in Plan mode that can be exchanged to
monitor anytime.
* Alternate route can also be made by means of divider by right clicking on a certain point
where a user wish to divert route.
6.3 Right click/ Click Ship on Center.
6.4 On the left upper port of the screen you can select any orientation you want by arrow down then
select/ click.
6.5 Overlay/ Navtools/TT/AIS Panel.
6.6 Only AIS Target is available on both ECDIS/ You can set T.Grand or Relative Orientation of the
target.
6.7 Display/ Set/ Symbol Display/ Tracing/ Labels.
6.8 NAVI/ VOYAGE/ Monitor INFO.
6.9 Overlay/ NavTools/ Look-Ahead.
6.10 Click on MSG on upper left side of the screen.
6.11 Ship’s ECDIS is not designed as IBS which can auto track the auto pilot effectively.
6.12 Log/ Event log/ Pos Event/ Click on a reference point (Island etc.)/ Select True bearing +
Distance/ Click Add/ Click record.
6.13 Waypoint names been created to use as reference point to establish estimate pos. along the
route. Can be an Island or Land mass.
6.14 Click Others/ Playback
