Ethical Issues In The Movie Office Space
The movie Office Space is based around an engineer named Peter Gibbons and his two software
engineer friends that work at the same company as him. In the Intech office where they work, the
depressed Peter despises his job and his work life, as well as his abusive and unfair boss, Bill
Lumbergh whom has just hired two consultants to basically downsize the company. This is not
good news for Peter and his coworkers, as their jobs are at risk, which upsets them all even more
than they were before, adding more stress that is unnecessary at this point in their lives. His best
friends, the software engineers Michael Bolton and Samir Nagheenanajar that also hate Intech, are
just as stressed and down about their job as Peter. Peter not only has issues
Explanation Of Moral Dilemma Or Issue Essay
1)Question: Explanation of Moral Dilemma or Issue. Answer: Back in 2011, roughly 90,000
people were on waiting lists for organ transplants. People on these waiting lists wait on average
for three and a half years before receiving a donor transplant, if they can make it that long.
Because the waiting lists for transplants and donors are so long and take a period of time to find
the perfect match, people are resulting to illegally purchasing the organ in need from the
underground economy, or Black Market ( New Internationalist All posts RSS ). Along with being
illegal and punishable by law, there are many other ethical issues that go along with Human
Organ Trafficking. Some people say it violates human dignity, some people do it for money to
support themselves and their families, and others are kidnapped and drugged and realize they
have lost an organ after they wake up. Some people think the Black Market is a positive thing
because you don t have to wait as long to get an organ because people are more willing to give
them up for money. Very rarely do you find someone in America that wants to be an organ donor,
whether it is if matched and registered, or after death. Since very few want to be organ donors and so
many people are on the transplant list, there is a shortage which is resulting in people going
overseas. This can result in the body rejecting the organ, an unhealthy organ, needing multiple
transplants, and death by infection. Although other countries may
Marketing Proposal For Consumers Professional Credit Union
This marketing proposal, designed by Justin Ellenwood is created exclusively for use by Consumers
Professional Credit Union.
Introduction
Consumers Professional Credit Union (CPCU) will be creating a new product and a new service
to go along with this product. The product will be a credit card reader for any mobile device. To
enhance this product a mobile application will also be created. This application will be a free
application, which charges a fee per transaction. However, there will be a premium option that will
waive the transaction fee, as well as gain some enhanced features.
It was determined that a credit card reader and mobile application would be a good fit for CPCU by
researching the current options, the Canadian market, and if there is a need. First, the most known
credit card reader was looked at. This would be Square and it currently operates in Canada, Japan,
Australia, and United States (Square Office Locations, n.d.). According to Cocotas (2012) in 2012,
Square revealed that it was processing payments totaling roughly $11 million a day, a $2 billion
increase from the previous year.
So there is defiantly a market for credit card readers and mobile applications, but why consider
Canada? Canada has a mobile readiness score of 42.0, which is the second highest behind Singapore
(Mobile Payments Readiness Index, n.d.). According to the MasterCard Mobile Payments Readiness
Index, Canada, like the United States, is very strong in propensity and usage in

Arguments Against Illegal Immigration
Immigration has been a part of American History since the discovery of this beautiful land hundreds
of years ago. Who first colonized the Americas has been a great debate over the years by many
researchers. An Article in the National Geographic stated, Traditionally, Native Americans are
believed to have descended from northeast Asia, arriving over a land bridge between Siberia and
Alaska some 12,000 years ago and then migrating across North and South America. But recent
research, including the Baja California study, indicates that the initial settlement of the continent was
instead driven by Southeast Asians who occupied Australia 60,000 years ago and then expanded into
the Americas about 13,500 years ago, prior to Mongoloid people arriving from northeast Asia. Then
as we have learned in this course, the land was later settled by immigrants seeing religious freedom
from the English Parliament. These same people that fled the harsh conditions of England in the
1600 s later went on to write the Constitution, one might argue that the constitution was written by
illegal immigrants. So why is immigrationsuch a divided issue today? Many people believe that
illegal aliens are taxing on the American people, they drive up the crime rate in our cities and
states, and they cause the cost of car insurance rate to increase, and keep wages low, as well as
consume the majority of the resources available for low income families. But are these things really
a threat to the country?
As mentioned before, many people who are opposed to illegal immigration believe that illegal
immigrants are taxing on the American tax payers. Taxes is a touch subject for a lot of people
especially those who make millions and have to pay thousands upon thousands to the IRS. There
have been numerous of actors and wealthy business people who have tried to go without paying
taxes or fled to another country to try to skip out on paying taxes, but the reality is that there is no
getting around it. As we know our founding fathers fought to be free from the taxes that Great
Britain placed on their goods and were successful. In this day in time we are now taxed on nearly
everything we purchase, but it is not to the point where we are paying more for
The Bill Of Rights In The United States
Initially, we as the people of the United States are believed to have the freedom and liberty we seek
for. This is obtained through a list consisting of ten amendments created by the government whom
named it the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights is a generally most common name used to describe
the rights and laws that we, the citizens of the United Stateshave. It is the basic foundation in which
gives us the freedom of speech, freedom of press, and etc. Without it, the people for instance, would
be accused of a crimeand put in prisonwithout any word or consent. They would not be able to prove
their case that they re innocent and would have to tolerate with the judge s irrational decisions. So,
the question is, to what extent has our government

Metaphors Used In Poetry
Poetry is a beautiful form of art. It can be written in many different fashions. The author of the
poem can choose to take it towards any direction they want to. The types of themes and phrases
used in the poem are the backbone of it. One of my favorite literary devices used in poetry is
metaphors. Metaphors are one of the best literary devices to be put into a poem. Many poetry writers
use metaphors. Modern poets have an interested in the relationship of mind and matter so they use
metaphors in their writings to help fill in the gap between them (Getz). The famous poet John Donne
is known for using them throughout his writings. He used them so often I think he tries to break
his previous record of how many metaphors can I pack into one poem every time he wrote a new
one. If that is not the case then he must have had some sort of bet going on. Half of the words that
come out of my mouth construct a metaphor but there is no way I could keep up with Donne s talent
of turning almost into a metaphor
Before we jump into Donne s works I feel the need to explain what a metaphor is. Metaphors are a
figure of speech. They compare two or more items to each other. They are similar to similes and
analogies but are used a bit differently. So similar that Aristotle once stated that, the simile is a
metaphor, differing from it only in the way it is put (Roncero). They are often mistaken for a simile
or analogy. The biggest distinction between them is that a metaphor does not
Dunkin Donuts History And Current Position
Dunkin Donuts History and Current Position
Originally opened in 1948 as Open Kettle , Dunkin Donuts is a classic and iconic company. The
company was founded and is still located in Massachusetts. Based off the idea that construction
workers enjoyed dunking their donuts in coffee, the company has thrived as a straight forward
good quality company. Since the time that the company was founded it has grown to include the
Baskin Robbins franchises as well as grown to over 8 billion US dollars in annual revenue. While
the company served both coffee and donuts for the majority of its existence the focus of the
company was strictly donuts until 2003 when the company rebranded itself to compete directly with
Starbucks as a leading coffee shop. Shortly after that time the company adopted a new breakfast
menu to compete directly with McDonalds and adopted the slogan, America Runs on Duncan
(History of Dunkin Donuts). Currently the organization runs 11,000 restaurants in 33 countries, that
sell 1.8 billion cups of coffee annually, and accounts for 24% of all coffee sales in the United States
(Champagne, C., Lezzi, T., 2014).

Dunkin Donuts vs Starbucks and Growth Strategy

Dunkin has taken on an entirely new market in competing directly with Starbucks and McDonalds.
In addition it has adopted a growth strategy that will attempt to more than double the number of its
store utilizing the power of franchise owners (Schermerhornm, 2013). In response to this McDonalds
has started
