Oral Presentation – Possessive Adjectives

🎤 GRUPO DE 3 –
Duración: 5 a 8 minutos

Student 1 – Presentación del tema: ¿Qué son?

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about possessive adjectives.

A possessive adjective is a word that tells us who something belongs to.

For example:

👉 This is my pen.

👉 That is your backpack.

We use them before a noun.

Student 2 – ¿Cuáles son? (con apoyo visual)

There are seven possessive adjectives. Let's see:

🟢 My → for “I” → This is my book.

🟢 Your → for “you” → Where is your pencil?

🟢 His → for “he” → That’s his dog.

🟢 Her → for “she” → This is her bag.

🟢 Its → for “it” → The cat is eating its food.

🟢 Our → for “we” → This is our classroom.

🟢 Their → for “they” → Those are their toys.

(Pueden mostrar un cartel grande con los pronombres y los adjetivos posesivos)

Student 3 – Cómo se usan en oraciones (con objetos reales o mímica)

We always use possessive adjectives before a noun.

Let’s see some fun examples:

👉 I have a ball. It’s my ball. (muestra una pelota)

👉 He has a hat. It’s his hat. (se pone una gorra)

👉 She has a pencil case. It’s her pencil case.

👉 We have a snack. It’s our snack!

(Pueden usar objetos reales de la clase o actuarlo)

Student 4 – Actividad con la clase (juego rápido)

Let’s play a game! It’s called “Whose is it?”

We will show or say something, and you will answer using a possessive
adjective.

Ejemplos para los compañeros:

- This is Ana’s backpack. Whose backpack is it?

→ It’s her backpack!

- This is Tom’s dog. Whose dog is it?

→ It’s his dog!

(Hacer 3 o 4 preguntas con respuestas de los compañeros)

Student 5 – Cierre divertido (mini canción y repaso)

Let’s review with a quick chant!

🎶 (A ritmo de palmas o base de “We will rock you”)

My, your, his and her,

Its, our, their – oh yeah!

Use them with a noun,

That’s how we break it down!

Now we all know how to use possessive adjectives!

Thanks for listening and participating! 👏👏
