LETTER OF OFFER FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES ADMISSION
I refer to your application to pursue postgraduate studies leading to the award of MASTER OF MEDICINE IN THORACIC AND
CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY in the FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES during the 2024/2025 Academic Year commencing
on 19th August 2024.
On behalf of the Senate of the University of Nairobi, I am pleased to inform you that you are eligible for admission into the
programme. Please note that this offer of admission will be valid for upto two years after which time should you not have taken up
the offer, you will be required to apply afresh for consideration. No deferments will be considered during this period.
This admission shall be confirmed only upon the production of original and certified (by the issuing University) copies of the degree
certificate, academic transcripts and secondary level education certificate at the faculty. Further, the University has offered you
admission into this degree programme on the basis of your academic qualifications and if it is discovered that your academic
certificates and transcripts are forgeries, the University will be at liberty to stop you from continuing with your studies or withdraw
the degree certificate.
The offer is also subject to the following conditions:
(i). To provide a letter of accreditation of the foreign University (where applicable)
(ii). To adhere to the University Rules and Regulations
(iii). To pay current tuition fees and other expenses as indicated in the attachment
(iv). To complete the degree programme within the stipulated duration.
Please note that fees is payable in full on or before commencement of each semester and no student shall be allowed to register
without paying full fees.
All fees shall be paid by Direct Cash Deposits, EFT (Swift Code is BARCKENX) or RTGS transfer to UON MODULE II
Collection Account No. 2032771362 (KENYAN) and UON USD Account No: 2032770625 (INTERNATIONAL) at ABSA Bank,
Plaza Branch. Deposits may also be made at any branch of ABSA Bank countrywide using the Reference Number quoted above.
Personal Cheques, Bankers Cheques or Institutional Cheques are not acceptable. The Student account will be updated the next
working day and can be accessed through the student online portal (https://smis.uonbi.ac.ke)
Once you have paid fees, kindly report to the faculty with a copy of the fees statement for registration. If you are not able to take up
the offer of admission immediately, please inform your Executive Dean when you intend to do so. For more details on postgraduate
programmes, visit our website: academics.uonbi.ac.ke.
Those who will have paid fees or have presented a letter of sponsorship will report on 19th August 2024 for registration and
orientation.
The duration of the course is as specified in the syllabi.
