Praying for peace in the midst of conflict
Ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Over 1,000 days of war between Russia and Ukraine. Recent
flashpoints between Iran and Israel. Tensions heightening between Taiwan and China. The world is
raging, full of conflict, full of man’s plans, full of a need for an increase of the presence of God. On
every continent, over every nation, in every heart. Intercession brings our listening spirits before the
Holy Spirit so we can align our intercession with the Father. In a world growing darker, there is
potential for the Church to bring the light of His presence to such a degree that it captures the notice
of those in authority in our world.
NATO is set to meet on June 24-26 in The Hague in The Netherlands, gathering with heads of state of
NATO member countries, as well as partner nations and representatives from the European Union.
This summit will bring decision points and strategies for the defense of NATO nations, world security
issues, and alliances and action that may result. Our intercession at this day and hour is critical. Join us
for a Global Day of Prayer for Peace on June 21st from 8:00 am EST - 1:00 pm EST(find information

As you read through this guide, you can use it in several ways. Let it be a framework to pray for the
upcoming day, use these points of prayer if you can’t participate, and continue your intercession for
our world in turmoil well beyond the intercessory event.

Flashpoint: Israel and Iran
Iran and its proxies have been waging increasing violence on Israel through
Hamas, Yemen, and other terrorist nation-states. We see the anti-Christ spirit
against God’s own people. Antisemitism is on the rise--even in allied countries.
Even as this prayer guide is being written, there are missiles in the air as Israel
erodes Iran’s nuclear capabilities, destroys a third of their missile launchers, takes
out top military commanders, and impacts critical infrastructure. Gulf states
struggle to respond to the changing landscape, formulate responses, positions,
and alliances. As World Watch Daily’s Bill Koenig states, “a myriad of current
events interweave as they race toward fulfillment of Bible prophecy.”
Pray about the increased physical war reflecting the spiritual war happening in the supernatural. Pray
about the antisemitic spirit growing in our world and even in allied nations. Pray about the deals that will
be done. There are many nuances in the positions of nations, including the United States. How will land
be allocated if there is a peace agreement? Will America remain Israel’s best ally? It all needs prayer.

Flashpoint: Ukraine and Russia
After being freed from the decades long iron grip of the USSR, Ukraine has
now been fighting Russia’s aggression again. For over three years, Ukraine
has endured stolen territory, civilian bombings, loss of life, diminished
infrastructure and despair at the hands of Russia.
There is a spiritual component to this conflict. Strongholds. Territorial spirits.
It all needs prayer.

Flashpoint: China and Tawain
China sees Taiwan as its territory and has increased military pressure since
2016. The U.S. supports Taiwan with military supplies but hasn't promised to
defend it. Rising military activities by China near Taiwan and increasing
dominance over Tawain could lead to usurping Tawain’s semi-independence
and a conflict involving the U.S. and China.
Pray about the increasing authoritarianism by China on the Taiwanese people,
which Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te warns will not stop with Taiwan.
A former Chinese military doctor revealed that Beijing has plans, along with the necessary equipment
and technology, to extract blood and vital organs from captured Taiwanese soldiers in the event of
an invasion of Taiwan. This would violate international laws requiring the humane treatment of
prisoners of war.

Flashpoint: Domestic Terrorism in U.S.
Since being elected, President Trump has sought to push back on the current
state of “wokeness” in America. These decisions and actions are being met
with efforts by the progressives to push back on any changes to their status
quo. With the immigration issue, protests--some violent--are arising, stoked
by Marxist groups. These violent riots are fueling hate and division among Americans. Islamic,
communist, and other far left groups often collaborate to come against conservative efforts. It’s
domestic terrorism is fueled by a demonic spirit of violence.

Save the Persecuted Christians reported that overnight between June 13 and
14, “Muslim Fulani militants raided a predominantly Catholic Christian town”
outside of the town of Makurdi, “killing hundreds, say early reports from
contacts within the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi.” The group said that “infants,
toddlers and the elderly are among the butchered and burnt bodies. Fleeing victims were shot and
hacked with machetes and thrown back into the fire.” Sadly, this is just the latest of the years of brutal
Christian persecution at the hands of Muslim terrorists in this nation.

Created in 1949 with an original 12 countries to further the principals in the
North Atlantic Treaty, NATO now has 32 members who come together as allies
to discuss political and security issues and make collective decisions by
consensus. NATO also maintains relations with 35 non-member countries and a range of international
organizations, called NATO partners. Not only political, there is a collective defense clause in the treaty
that resulted in the creation of NATO Allied Command military operations and staff.
