A CORUNA 15 NOV 24 10-1P .Eff.28.Nov. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
1. GENERAL
1.1. ATIS
*D-ATIS 129.005

1.2. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)

1.2.1. GENERAL
RWY 03/21 is authorized for take-off in low visibility conditions.
In addition to general procedures, LVP will be applied in following conditions:
- When RVR value is below 1800m measured with any visibilimeter, or same
value of VIS if visibilimeters are out of service.
- When ceiling is below 500'/152m.
- When with rapid worsening of meteorological conditions it is deemed
necessary.
Pilots will be informed about application of LVP by RTF or ATIS syatem. Any noti-
fied or detected incidence, that may affect LVP, will be immediately
communicated to ACFT and ATC services involved.
RVR values will be supplied directly by ATC in accordance with the following:
- RVR TDZ: reading corresponding to the touchdown zone.
- RVR MID: reading of the runway mid-point.
- RVR END: reading of the end of the RWY.
When obstacles-free zone and LOC Sensitive Area (LSA) are vacated, they will be
authorized for landing, always before ACFT reaches the 2NM point from TDZ. If
this is not possible, instructions for a missed APCH will be issued.
When ILS APCHs are underway, landing clearance will only be issued when criti-
cal and sensitive ILS areas (LSA and LCA) are vacated.
LVP will be cancelled when following meteorological conditions are reported:
- RVR greater than 1900m reported by all transmissometers or same VIS if
transmissometers are out of service.
- Ceiling is above 700'/213m.
- Strong tendency of improvement in meteorological conditions.
Take-offs are not allowed when RVR is less than 125m.
1.2.2. GROUND MOVEMENT
1.2.2.1. GENERAL
In the event that Execution Stage III weather conditions are reached without the
Airport being ready for LVP, TWR will apply the ground movement restrictions
listed below:
- RVR between 600m and 1800m. The maximum number of ACFT that can move
simultaneously in the manoeuvring area is ONE.
- RVR is 600m or less no ACFT may move.
In the event that the APT is ready, the restrictions shall be as follows:
- RVR between 600 m and 1800 m. At the discretion of ATC, according to the
manual and visibility from TWR.
- RVR is 600m or less ONE MOVEMENT ALLOWED.
1.2.2.2. ARRIVAL
When leaving RWY, pilots must report:
- RWY vacated;
- Sensitive area vacated;
- TWY used.
At apron entry, ACFT must wait for arrival of a Follow-me car in order to be
guided to assigned stand. Pilot will notify stand and frequency out.
With LVP activated, the taxiing route for access to stands will be via TWY S.

A CORUNA 15 NOV 24 10-1P1 .Eff.28.Nov. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
1. GENERAL
1.2.2.3. DEPARTURE
Pilots will notify of entry in RWY.
1.2.3. COMMUNICATION FAILURE
Whenever an ACFT in the maneuvering area experiences a communication failure,
it must proceed as follows:
- Departing ACFT must continue by the assigned route to its clearance limit,
taking extreme CAUTION to avoid detours. ACFT must hold position at this
point and wait for arrival of a Follow-me car in order to be guided to stand
designated by appropriate authority.
- Arriving ACFT must hold position within first segment of TWY, where ILS-sen-
sitive area is vacated and wait for arrival of a Follow-me car in order to be
guided to stand assigned.

1.3. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

Jet ACFT engine tests are restricted to those cases where their implementation
is absolutely necessary, clearance being requested mandatorily from the APT
coordination office: [email protected].

1.4. TAXI PROCEDURES

ACFT with code letter D and E:
- Arrival and permanence ACFT more than 118.1'/36m wingspan are not allowed
without prior clearance of the APT.
- Taxiing by this type of ACFT shall solely be accomplished via TWY S.
- After landing or when departing, ATC will indicate that taxiing must take
place at low speed with engines idling and whenever possible with outer
engines off.
- Movement at turns must be accomplished using the oversteering maneuver and
with the guidance of a signalman.

1.5. PARKING INFORMATION

On stands 1, 3 thru 5 push-back required.
Stands H1 thru H3 available for helicopters.
In all stands equipped with a 400 Hz power supply installation the use of the
installation will be compulsory, unless the same is not operational.
With APU inoperative for all stands and whenever possible, before approaching to
make the 400 Hz connection, the ACFT should have turned off all left engines
(A319, A320, A321, B737, etc. always with engine 1 turned off).
ACFT with code letter D and E:
- Parking position shall be the stand 11A (ramp 1).
- Use of stand 11A by higher code letter ACFT is incompatible with use of
stands 11, 12, H1 and H2.

1.6. OTHER INFORMATION

CAUTION: Birds.

LECO/LCG + JEPPESEN A CORUNA, SPAIN

A CORUNA 15 DEC 23 10-1P2 .Eff.28.Dec. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
2. ARRIVAL
2.1. CONTINUOUS DESCENT OPERATIONS
Depending on traffic situation, and if no need for interrupting the descent is fore-
seen, ACFT will be cleared to proceed to a STAR, or by means of a "direct to"
clearance to an Intermediate Fix (IF) of the STAR, to the Initial Approach Fix
(IAF), to an Intermediate Approach Fix or to the IF, to the minimum altitude of
the IAF or the IF of the instrument approach procedure, in order to allow a contin-
uous descent operation.

2.2. CAT II OPERATIONS

RWY 21 approved for CAT II operations, special aircrew and ACFT certification
required.

2.3. CIRCLING RWY 03

To execute this maneuver, it is necessary to carry out an instrument approach to
RWY 21 and complete it with a visual maneuver (in circuit) to position the ACFT
to land on RWY 03.
Of the two circuits on opposite sides of the RWY, the one to the east of the air-
field (right tailwind for RWY 03) is the predetermined one.
Due to visual traffic operations within the CTR A CORUNA, if crews require to
accomplish the circling maneuver to the west of the field, they must request this
as early as possible from SANTIAGO APP, so that this service can coordinate
with the TWR and have enough time to clear traffic from the circuit required.
Otherwise, the request may be denied in the interest of the safety of other ACFT.
When an ACFT is established at the end of RWY 21, entering RWY 03 with a tail-
wind requires an initial turn to the opposite side of the circuit which it is joining.

2.4. RWY OPERATIONS

Landing ACFT surpassing TWY exits to the apron have to turn at RWY ends or
intermediate turning pad.

3. DEPARTURE
3.1. START-UP AND PUSH-BACK PROCEDURES
3.1.1. START-UP OF ENGINES/TURBINES
In order to avoid FPL being cancelled automatically, EOBT must be updated.
Pilots will request clearance to start up engines/turbines on the appropriate
Tower frequency.
When this clearance is requested, the ACFT must be ready to start up immedi-
ately or in good condition to do so in a MAX period of 5 minutes.
On requesting engine start-up clearance to ATC, pilots will report the complete
ACFT designator and the parking position occupied.
The start-up request will be carried out considering that ACFT should be ready to
leave the stand following the next criteria:
- ACFT with CTOT assigned:
10 minutes before CTOT when it is parked at a towed push-back stand, or
5 minutes before CTOT for the rest of stands.
- ACFT without CTOT assigned:
before the EOBT +5 minutes when it is parked at a towed push-back stand, or
before the EOBT +10 minutes for the rest of stands.
According to the air traffic situation, any ATC clearance requested later than
these criteria may be rejected.

3. DEPARTURE
3.1.2. GROUND MOVEMENT
It is forbidden to cross on foot the TWYs to access the stands in the apron.
For entry operations in stands, ACFT will wait for the arrival of a Follow-me
vehicle on the TWY N and S holding position exits, or in its absence, the Coordi-
nation Office shall notify ATC of the stand assigned and that no guidance is
available. ATC shall notify the ACFT of the stand so it may proceed following the
apron markings.
Autonomous exit maneuvers will be carried out at a minimum idle regime in the
start-up of engines. ACFT will be responsible for carrying out the stand exit
maneuver observing the guidance marking and leaving the apron for TWY specified
by ATC.
- All movements of ACFT, towed ACFT, personnel and vehicles on the maneuver-
ing area are subject to previous ATC clearance.
- TWR is responsible for issuing clearances and instructions for towed push-back
and taxiing of ACFT.
- All movements of ACFT in apron are subject to previous ATC clearance.
- Collision avoidance with other ACFT or obstacles is responsibility of:
- Handling companies during the push-back maneuver.
- Pilots, during taxiing in the apron.
- ATC, at the maneuvering area.
3.1.2.1. PUSH-BACK MANEUVERING AND TAXIING
- ACFT must be ready for towed push-back or taxiing within the next 5 minutes
after the approved start-up time; otherwise pilots will contact ATC. The time
between the end of push-back maneuver and the beginning of taxiing must be a
maximum 3 minutes.
- Push-back maneuvers shall be accomplished as follows, unless A CORUNA
Tower advises differently:
- RWY 21 in service: nosing to north direction, for taxiing to TWY N.
- RWY 03 in service: nosing to south direction, for taxiing to TWY S.
Shall not be authorized 180^ turns in TWY apron.

Do not exceed TMA lower limit without clearance.
Instrumental TFC may be approaching RWY 21 in the
vicinity of LE-R76 W/E north of Betanzos estuary.
NOTE: Access TWY for the hangar is restricted
exclusively to the ACFT of the flying school based at AD.
Access to the flying school hangar is limited to taxiing by
ACFT with MAX wingspan 11m.
Access to PRKG stands 6 or H3 is limited to taxiing by
ACFT with MAX wingspan 18m.
AD has topographic and climatological features that
require specific PROC and operating methods. Crews
should familiarize themselves with these before coming
to AD. This provision is particularly important for pilots
not familiar with this AD.
Landing ACFT surpassing the TWY exits to the apron
must continue taxiing straight ahead in order to make the
turn at the RWY end. Nevertheless, the possibility to
vacate the RWY making the turn on the intermediate
turning pad is allowed.
The RWY centre line and its extension shall never be
crossed without APP or TWR permission.

ARR
Establish radio contact with TWR before entering CTR
and request clearance maintaining MAX 1000' AGL. Report
position over REPs E1 or W1.

DEP
ACFT leaving CTR shall request clearance from TWR
about procedure to be used.

HEL
There is not defined other specific area to operate with
HEL, they will have the same treatment as fixed-wing
ACFT and will be authorised by ATC to TKOF and LDG,
from/to RWY 03/21.

Radio Failure
ACFT with radio failure must enter CTR via stated routes
maintaining 1000' AGL or below.
ACFT must keep clear of AD circuit, hold NW or SE of AD
in sight of TWR, to await light signals.
