This v 100 mandello was revealed with 3 models. the first was V 100 Mandello.... PURE MOTO GUZZI
FROM TOP TO TAIL, next we’ve got V 100 Mandello S... more extensive suite of standard kit and a
series of technological bells and whistles designed to deliver a safer. The last was the limited version,
it called V 100 Mandello Aviazione Navale... Available in just 1913 units, it is a tribute to the year the
air division of the Italian Military Marine was founded, the force to which founders Carlo Guzzi,
Giorgio Parodi and Giovanni Ravelli belonged.
But seems like oberdan bezzi, a famous italian designer missed the touch of retro or classic looks on
the eagle brand nowadays, and he tried to do v100 mandello with a special version. Based on MOTO
GUZZI V7 700 , Oberdan Bezzi calls for the return of the pure guzzi bike in early 70s, without fairings
and other protective parts. Literally standard, elemental bikes, in which everything around you feels
like the purest of the classic motorcycles. Because of that, based on oberdan bezzi design, there is
special edition for v 100 mandello series, and it called “MOTO GUZZI V10 SPECIAL”.
MOTO GUZZI V10 SPECIAL will maintain all the essence of the mandello as it is a two-cylinder V-
shaped at 90 degree transverse to the gear, but it will have a capacity of 1,042 cc, will have liquid
cooling, four valves per cylinder, double overhead shaft, upper intake, clutch in oil bath and much
more compact measures than the current one... as well as more powerful that 115 h p at 9,500 r p m
and 105 Newton meter of torque.
With v10 special’s compact body delivers a sporty experience on even the twistiest roads and
outstanding stability and handling, making it ideal for longer trips. Whatever the scenario or required
riding style, it comes up trumps in terms of resilience, precision and sheer enjoyment.
For the suspension it will be using an Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension, same like the
standard and S version, it delivers exceptional control and dynamic feedback. Whether you’re bent

the suspension for optimal performance on any type of surface and in all conditions.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this special, we are going to see the possibilities imagined by the
designer Oberdan Bezzi about the new Moto Guzzi engine, the V100 presented in the V100
Mandello. The 'compact block' (I'm sure it sounds nicer in Italian) will maintain all the essence of the
eagle brand as it is a two-cylinder V-shaped at 90º transverse to the gear, but it will have a capacity of
1,042 cc, will have liquid cooling, four valves per cylinder, double overhead shaft, upper intake, clutch
in oil bath and much more compact measures than the current one... as well as more powerful (115
hp at 9,500 rpm and 105 Nm of torque). With it, Oberdan Bezzi imagines a good number of possible

With this Moto Guzzi V100 Special, Oberdan Bezzi calls for the return of the
pure bike, as it was until the seventies, before the arrival of fairings and other
protective parts. Remember those 'naked', elemental bikes, in which everything
around you feels like it is, without filters. To give an image to this type of
elementary motorcycle, Obiboi has searched again in the history of Moto Guzzi
and, as the brand itself has done on other occasions, has reproduced the image
of the model that inaugurated the transverse twin-cylinder engine: the V7 700
of 1967, which continued in models such as the V7 750 Special of 1970, on
the 2008 V7 Classic or the 2012 V7 Special. or the latest 853cc V7 Special.
For its design, the Moto Guzzi V100 Special, it can be seen that Oberdan has
been based on the Mandello that will come out shortly, but with quite classic
touches such as spoked wheels, a double-wishbone swingarm, a longer and
conical silencer, an elongated tank and a white decoration with black and red
lines that clearly evoke the original of 1967. A logical step at Moto Guzzi that
they surely have in mind to make.
Crossovers, Maxienduros, Neoretros, Powercruisers etc, etc are fine, but a beautiful, very traditional
pure motorcycle... road bikes, such as those that gave birth to "modern" motorcycling at the
beginning of the 70s, no one feels nostalgic?
Probably today they would be labeled as... Naked... But why?
In reality, high-displacement motorcycles were born like this, without aerodynamic protections, with
high handlebars, a comfortable saddle, a tank between the legs and a powerful motor underneath!
Obviously, MOTO GUZZI was also in the game at the time and to play with the extraordinary new
proposals that arrived from distant Japan and with the English and German creations, it sported its
white V7 Special.
At that time, everything was done with those bikes, shooting on the highway, traveling, walking along
the seafront and often even a few races with friends to see who was going faster.
Today, by virtue of the beautiful new V100 engine, MOTO GUZZI could think of including in the future
range, a beautiful road bike, which, although technically very modern, refers to those original
concepts.
A vehicle that can be absolutely exploited for any road use, performing when necessary, but also
docile in daily use, also suitable for passenger transport, very robust and easy to maintain.
