Manuel Antonio Park
Manuel Antonio National Park is a small
national park in the Central Pacific
Conservation Area located on the Pacific
coast of Costa Rica, just south of the city
of Quepos, Puntarenas, and 132 km (82
mi) from the national capital of San José.
Established in 1972 with a land area
enumerating 1,983 ha, it is considered
the smallest of any Costa Rican national
park. The park is well known for its
beautiful beaches and hiking trails. In
2011, Manuel Antonio was listed by
Forbes as among the world's 12 most
beautiful national parks.

Attractions: Playa Manuel Antonio, Playa Biesanz,
Manuel Antonio National Park, Playas Gemelas,

Accessibilities: Manuel Antonio is 156 kilometers
(97 miles) from San Jose International Airport. The
drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio is about 3
hours with no traffic without stopping.

The vast central pacific mountain slopes

resulting in 99% filtered water.
Installed multiple portable sinks for hand washing and containers were
placed for handling the waste. As well as a new wastewater treatment
plant was installed.

Program
The country currently produces nearly 98
percent of its electricity from renewable
resources. The country aims to achieve
100% renewable electricity by 2030 with
70% of all buses and taxis expected to
be electric by 2030, and full
electrification projected for 2050.
In several hotels hot water from every
room is heated by the residual energy of
the air conditioner of the same room

biodegradable to speed its natural
degradation process.
