Some people think that printed books are no longer needed in the digital era

because all writing can be store electronically. Others think printed book will still
play important role. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

In the age of digital technology, the role of printed books has become a subject
of debate. While some believe that printed books are becoming obsolete due to
the rise of electronic alternatives, which facilitate people to store and access data
easily. Others argue that physical books still hold their own value. Although
both views hold merit, I agree more with the latter perspective.

On the one hand, many individuals support digital reading because of its
convenience and efficiency. Online books allow users to gain instant access
from anywhere at any time using just a tablet or smartphone, alleviating the need
for exorbitant amount of printed materials. Furthermore, electronic devices
allow people to carry extensive amount of data without the burden of physical
weight. Moreover, digital books are environmentally friendly, as they help
reduce the demand for paper and ink, contributing to long-term sustainability
efforts. For instance, the shift from printed books to digital formats can help
diminish deforestation. Consequently, this leads to protecting the environment,
mitigating climate change, and preserving our natural heritage.

On the other hand, printed books offer a unique advantage that digital formats
cannot replicate. Many readers tend to prefer the physical experience of reading
on paper, which not only stimulates the senses with a comforting, familiar
feeling but also limits screen-induced eye strain. Additionally, physical books
are less susceptible to technical issues like low battery and software
malfunction.

In conclusion, while digital books offer undeniable advantages in terms of

convenience, accessibility, and environmental impact, printed books still hold a
unique and irreplaceable value for many readers. From my point of view, I’m
more interesting in printed books due to tangible benefits and the high level of
concentration they provide when reading.
