UNDERSTANDING THE ROOT OF WITCHCRAFT
Witchcraft is the practice of magical skills and abilities in order to commune with spirits, deities,
ancestors and also cast spells, hexes, jinxes. It means practicing divination in order to manipulate,
control, derail, exchange, and divert people’s destiny, blessing and favour. Witchcraft can also be
described as an act of diversion by manipulation in order to control a person’s willpower.
Witchcraft operates in the realm of darkness and the word of God includes it in the works of the
flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). When a man is manipulated to do what he doesn’t want to do, it is called
witchcraft. Witchcraft has its roots from the ancient days. We can see in the old testament book of
Exodus 22:18, God Almighty was commanding the people of Israel not to allow witches to exist
among them and also in Leviticus 20:26-27, God commands that witches should be stoned to
death. This simply means that witchcraft is part of ancient history and the judgment for such
individuals or persons is death. God does not establish witchcraft or rebellion and so we must not
allow it in any area of our life.
UNDERSTANDING THE CATEGORIES OF WITCHCRAFT
There are two categories of witchcraft
1. Fleshly or Carnal witchcraft
2. Occultic Witchcraft
FLESHLY OR CARNAL WITCHCRAFT
Fleshly or carnal witchcraft practice in so many ways which are:
  a) Stubbornly pursuing someone to cause destruction or damage (Exodus 14:22-27)
 b) Attempting to read the mind of another person, thereby misinterpreting his intents
(1Samuel 7:28-29)
 c) Attempting to prove your worth through the manipulation of others.
 d) Attempting to influence someone in a negative way to do something against his will
(Genesis 39:7-12).
 e) Taking what belongs to someone forcefully or unlawfully. (1Kings 21:1)
 f) Wishing other people’s blessing are yours and your failure theirs.(1Samuel 18:6-9).
 g). Rebellion against God and his appointed authority. (1Samuel 15:15-24.).

OCCULT WITCHCRAFT
Occultic Witchcraft is a practice through the aid of satanic power, these are some of their ways of
operations.
 a) To Monitor a person’s destiny with the aid of satanic power.
 b) Attack or oppress their subject with failure and setback.
 c) They gather against the light through spiritual aid. 2Corinthians 4:3-4.
 d) They renew their covenant with satan through bloodshed.
 e) They place their mark and signature on their subject.
 f) They can forcefully initiate people through blood relations for example through sex, food.
 g)They can place false blessings on people as a way of enticing them to join them.

UNDERSTANDING THEIR INSTRUMENTS(occultic witchcraft )

Witches have instruments of operations which they use in their coven (meeting place) which are as
follows:
 Cooking cauldron: it is a pot in which witches mix and burn petition with their words or
wishes written on them.
 Flying broom: this is an instrument witches use to fly.
 Chalice: with this, they drink blood.
 Paten: the flat plate or pentacle with which they use to energize or strengthen themselves.
  Wand: it is used to cast spell
 Censer: is used to dispense incense

HOW TO UPROOT/DESTROY WITCHCRAFT POWERS.

In as much as their operation are deadly and wicked, yet there is a way out to uproot and destroy
their operation, scatter and destroy them. To uproot and destroy witchcraft powers we must
1. First, surrender your life totally to Jesus by accepting Him as your Lord and personal saviour
and yielding totally to the will of the Lord Jesus by living in holiness
2. By Engaging in spiritual warfare
3. Through spiritual insights and sensitivity to the Holy Ghost.
4. Fervency in prayer and in serving God
5. Gaining victory over your thought and your dreams.
6. Effectiveness in using the sword of the spirit (Word of God) (Revelation 13:10)

WEAPONS OF WARFARE
Each warfare has weapons and tools of warfare so also in spiritual warfare. To engage witchcraft
powers, overcome and destroy their root we should engage these powerful weapons, which are as
follows.
1. The Word of God: It is written in Jeremiah 23:29 “is not my WORD as a fire? saith the Lord
and like a hammer that breaks the Rock into pieces”. In Exodus 22:18 ” thou shall not suffer
a witch to live”. Micah 5:12″ The Lord says he will cut off witchcraft “. Also in Leviticus
20:27″ it says that a witch shall be stoned to death”. Also see Isaiah 49;24-26, Hebrews
4:13, Jeremiah 10:11
2. The blood of Jesus: Revelation 12:11″ And we overcome him by the blood of the lamb and
word of our testimony” and in Zechariah 9:11″ because of the covenant of the blood I Will
set your prisoners free”. Also see Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 12:24.
3. The name of Jesus: Philippians 2:9-11″ wherefore God hath highly exalted him and given
him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of
things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth; and that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. See also Proverbs
18:10, Romans10:13, Joel 2:32.
 4. The high praises of God and worship: Psalm 149:6-9″ Let the high praises of God be in their
mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand: to execute vengeance upon the heathen and
punishment upon the people; To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of
iron;To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye
the Lord”. See also 2chronicles 20:21-22, Acts 16:25.

PRAYERS TO UPROOT WITCHCRAFT POWERS

1. Thank you heavenly Father for your immeasurable love upon my life and family.
2. I pledge and ask that your mercy oh Lord prevail in my life as I make this prayer today in
Jesus name amen.
3. As I go into battle I cover myself and family with the blood of Jesus amen.
4. I reject every involvement of flesh in my prayer life and I decree I shall not pray in the flesh
again in Jesus name amen.
5. Let every witchcraft flying against me crash in the name of Jesus amen.
6. Oh God arise and visit all witchcraft incantations with thunder and lightning and a great
noise.
7. Oh God arise and instruct your angels to set unquenchable fire on witchcraft shrines and
inhabitations.
8. Oh Jehovah Gibbor arise and cause confusion in the witchcraft camp assigned against me.
9. I call all ministering angels in heaven to battle and to slay all the agents of witchcraft.
10. Oh earth refuse to carry out the instruction of witch doctor assigned against me and my
family in Jesus name amen.
NUMBERS 23:23 “For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now
must be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’ (NKJV).
1. I deprogram and cancel witchcraft prophecies by the power in the blood of Jesus.
2. I program judgment on witchcraft and attach it to the heaven.
3. Oh God arise and let my enemies scatter in Jesus name.
4. Let the tables of witchcraft become their snare in Jesus name.
5. Let the eyes of witches assigned to watch my life be darkened in Jesus name amen.
MICAH 11-12 “I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds. I will cut off
sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers. (NKJV).
 1. Let the covens of witches and wizards become desolate in the name of Jesus amen.
2. Let every witchraft power, charging against me crash by fire in Jesus name amen.
3. No witch or wizard shall prosper in my environment as I take charge of my environment in
Jesus name amen.
4. Water spirit that is networking with witchcraft spirit against my life be utterly consumed by
fire in Jesus name.
5. Let the sun go down on witchcraft power in Jesus mighty name.
EXODUS 22:18 “You shall not permit a sorceress to live. (NKJV).
1. Let their days be darkened and let the stars in their courses fight against witches in Jesus
name amen.
2. Oh God arise and send out your whirlwind to fall with greater power against witches in
Jesus name.
3. Oh God arise and frustrate any witchcraft powers and bring to an end every witchcraft
coven in Jesus name.
4. Every spell and enchantment of witchcraft break off in Jesus name amen.
5. Witchcraft power assigned to release affliction into my life, my destiny, my family, my
career be roasted by the fire of the Holy Ghost.

Deliverance Prayers from Witchcraft Prayers Points and Message

Numbers 23:23 says, “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination
against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!” Isaiah 25:9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him,
that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his
salvation.” Zechariah 9:11,13-16 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I

Psalm 107:10-16 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in
irons, for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High. So
he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help. Then they cried to
the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He brought them out of
darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart.
Isaiah 26:8-9 In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance
are the desire of our soul. My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks
you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Psalm 37:5-7 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your
righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait
patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries
out evil devices! Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and
transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of
sins.

Psalm 18:44-45 says, “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit
themselves unto me. [45] The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.”
Isaiah 49:25 For thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of
the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your
children. Isaiah 35:4 Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your
God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”
Jeremiah 50:33-34 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: The people of Israel are oppressed, and the people
of Judah with them. All who took them captive have held them fast; they refuse to let them go.
Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name. He will surely plead their cause, that he
may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon. Isaiah 41:11-12 Behold, all who

against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or
famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all
the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Psalm 91:13 You will tread on
the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. Mark 16:18 they
will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them;
they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Romans 16:20 The God of peace will
soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Revelation 11:5 And if anyone would harm them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their
foes. If anyone would harm them, this is how he is doomed to be killed. Luke 21:17-18 You will be
hated by all for my name's sake. But not a hair of your head will perish. Ezekiel 2:6 And you, son of

Matthew 3:10 says, “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree
which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

1. Raise your two hands up
Father Lord, baptize my hand with your liquid fire mixed with the blood of Jesus to destroy and
break witchcraft curses.
2. Lay the two hands on your head
Father Lord, destroy every witchcraft curse upon my life by your fire, in the name of Jesus
3. You my divine destiny, you will not be bewitched, in the name of Jesus.
4. I gather together all witchcraft curses issued against my life and I send them back to the sender,

1. Father Lord, let my intestine and every organ of my body experience the fireworks of the Holy
Ghost, in Jesus name.
2. Father Lord, let there be a disassociation between my body and the evil food I have eaten, in the

3. Father Lord, in the name of Jesus, I vomit every evil food that I have eaten.
4. Let the blood of Jesus flush out every poison deposited in my blood system as a result of evil

5. All that I have lost as a result of eating evil food, Father Lord let me have them back, in the name
of Jesus.

1. You demon backing witchcraft in my life, somersault, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.
2. 0 God re-arrange any part of my body that has been fragmented by the power of infirmity, in
Jesus’ name.
3. I curse to die, you the power of infirmity working in any part of my body, in the name of Jesus.
4. I speak destruction to the root of any infirmity planted by witchcraft powers in my life, in the
name of Jesus.
5. Every inherited sickness from my family lineage, dry to your roots, in the name of Jesus.

1. Every witchcraft eye monitoring my business for destruction be plucked by fire, in the name of
Jesus.
2. Arrow of fire, pluck out the eyes of every monitoring agent over the affairs of my life, in the

3. Let the eyes of every household witchcraft manipulating my marriage be plucked off by fire, in
Jesus name.
4. Every witchcraft eye manipulating my finances be plucked off, in the name of Jesus.
