Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn:

Pink (P) – 3 oz, 165 yd (84 g, 149 m);
Small amounts White (W) and Green (G);
Yarn Needle. Scissors, Standard Roll of Toilet Paper.

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 6 Double Crochet = 2”

Special Stitches
JOINING WITH SINGLE CROCHET
When instructed to join with single crochet, begin with slip knot on hook,
insert hook in stitch or space indicated, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn
over and draw through both loops on hook.

JOINING WITH TREBLE CROCHET

When instructed to join with treble crochet, begin with slip knot on hook,
yarn over twice, insert hook in stitch or space indicated, yarn over and pull
up a loop, (yarn over and draw through both loops on hook) 3 times.

V-Stitch: (Double Crochet, chain 1, double crochet) in same stitch or space.

Cluster Stitch: Keeping last loop of each stitch on hook, 3 treble crochet in
indicated stitches, yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.

Cluster Stitch: Keeping last loop of each stitch on hook work 4 treble
crochet stitches in chain-1 space, yarn over and draw through all loops on
hook, chain for for EYE.

Twisted Single Crochet (TSC): Insert hook in stitch or space indicated, yarn
over and pull up a loop about one half inch high, twist hook 360 degrees
counter-clockwise for right hand crochet and clockwise for left hand
crochet, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.

Round 1 (Right Side): With Pink, chain 1 (center chain), chain 3 (counts as
first double crochet now and throughout), 11 double crochet in center
chain; join with slip stitch to top of beginning chain 3. (12 double crochet)

Round 2: Chain 3, double crochet in same stitch as joining, 2 double

crochet in each double crochet around; join with slip stitch to first double
crochet. (24 double crochet)

Round 3: Chain 3, 2 double crochet in next double crochet, (double crochet

in next double crochet, 2 double crochet in next double crochet) around;
join. (36 Double Crochet)

Round 4: Chain 3, double crochet in next double crochet, 2 Double Crochet

in next double crochet, (double crochet in next 2 double crochet, 2 double
crochet in next double crochet) around; join. (48 Double Crochet)
Finish off and weave in ends.

Base
Round 1 (Right Side): Starting at bottom, with Pink, chain 48, being careful
not to twist chain, join with slip stitch to first chain to form ring; chain 3,
double crochet in each chain around; join with slip stitch to first double
crochet. (48 Double Crochet)

Round 2: Chain 3, double crochet in each double crochet around; join.

Finish off and weave in ends.

Round 3: With right side facing, join Green with slip stitch to top of first
double crochet of Round 2, chain 4 (counts as double crochet, chain 1),
double crochet in same stitch as joining, skip 2 double crochet, (V-Stitch in
next double crochet, skip next 2 double crochet) around; join with slip stitch
to first double crochet. (16 V-Stitches)
Finish off and weave in ends.
Round 4: With right side facing, join White with slip stitch to any chain-1
space, chain 4 (counts as first treble crochet), keeping last loop of each
stitch on hook, 3 treble crochet in same chain-1 space, yarn over, draw
through all loops on hook, chain 1 for EYE, chain 1, (Cluster Stitch in next
chain-1 space, chain 1) around; join with slip stitch to EYE of 1st Cluster
Stitch. (16 Cluster Stitch with 16 chain 2 spaces between)
Finish off and weave in ends.

Round 5: With right side facing, join Pink with slip stitch to any chain-2
space, chain 3, 2 double crochet in same space, (3 double crochet in next
chain-2 space) around; join. (48 Double Crochet)

Rounds 6-7: Rep Round 2.

At the end of Round 7, finish off leaving long end.

Finishing
Note: Top and Base are joined by matching stitches, and working Twisted
Single Crochet Stitches through both thicknesses.

Edging
Holding wrong side of Top next to wrong side of Base and working through
both thicknesses at the same time (SEE VIDEO), join White with a slip stitch
in any double crochet, work a Twisted Single Crochet in the next double
crochet and in each double crochet around, work a Twisted Single Crochet
in the same stitch as Slip stitch.
Finish off and weave in ends.
