How Climate Change Hits Poor First
Introduction
Aaj ke samay mein Indian youth kai tarah ke pressure ka samna kar rahe hain - academics, career, social
media, family expectations, aur khud ke doubts. In sab ka effect unki mental health par padta hai, jiska sabse
bada example hai depression. Ye ek silent epidemic ban chuka hai jisko log ignore kar dete hain ya samajhte
hi nahi.
1. Academic Pressure
India mein students par school aur college level par itna academic pressure hota hai ki unka pura childhood
stress mein nikal jaata hai. NEET, JEE, UPSC jaise exams ke liye log bachpan se hi padhai mein lag jaate
hain. Agar result achha nahi aaya, to self-worth ka sense chala jaata hai.
2. Career Uncertainty & Unemployment
Education complete hone ke baad bhi jobs ki kami aur high competition wajah banti hai frustration ki.
Degrees hone ke bawajood bhi job na milna, ya underpaid jobs karna youth ke liye depression ka cause ban
jata hai. Iske alawa financial pressure bhi add hota hai.
3. Social Media Comparison
Instagram, YouTube, aur LinkedIn jaisi platforms par log apni best life dikhate hain. Indian youth inko dekh
kar apne aap ko compare karne lagte hain. Yeh comparison unko anxiety aur low self-esteem ki taraf le jaata
hai. Har kisi ko lagta hai ki wo 'peeche reh gaya' hai.
4. Family & Societal Expectations
Bachpan se parents aur relatives youth par career, marriage, aur behaviour ko lekar high expectations rakhte
hain. "Log kya kahenge" wala pressure unki asli feelings aur passions ko daba deta hai. Is wajah se youth
apne asli dreams follow nahi kar pate.
5. Relationship Issues & Loneliness
Breakups, one-sided love, toxic relationships, aur emotional dependency bhi youth depression ke bade

reasons hain. Saath hi, digital world mein hone ke bawajood bhi log andar se akelay hain. Doston ke beech
hone ke bawajood unka emotional support nahi milta.
6. Lack of Mental Health Awareness
India mein mental health ko ab bhi log serious nahi lete. Depression ko 'nautanki' ya 'kamjori' samjha jaata
hai. Youth ke paas guidance, counseling, ya open conversations ka space hi nahi hota.
Solutions - Real Problems Ke Basis Par
1. Mental Health Education: Schools aur colleges mein mental health ko subject banaya jaaye.
2. Accessible Counseling: Har educational institute mein professional counselors hone chahiye.
3. Career Guidance: Career confusion door karne ke liye guidance workshops aur mentorship programs ho.
4. Digital Detox & Awareness: Social media usage pe limit aur real-life value samjhane wale campaigns ho.
5. Open Conversations at Home: Parents ko bhi mental health ki training mile taki wo apne bachchon ko
emotionally samajh saken.
6. Peer Support Groups: College level pe aise groups banaye jaye jahan youth freely baat kar saken.
7. Government Helplines & Support: 24x7 mental health helplines ko zyada promote kiya jaaye aur regional
languages mein access diya jaaye.
Conclusion
Indian youth desh ka future hai, lekin agar unki mental health weak rahegi to unka full potential kabhi bahar
nahi aayega. Depression ek real problem hai jo har class, gender, aur region ke youth ko affect karta hai.
Samasya ka hal tabhi niklega jab society, parents, schools, aur sarkar milke isko seriously lenge. Awareness,
acceptance aur action - ye teen pillars youth ko andhere se bahar nikal sakte hain.
