Web Development using Wordpress
1. COURSE OVERVIEW
The objectives of this course understand about website, cms and other web development tools
available in the market today. This course will enable about various components of WordPress
and support for creating new websites.
2. PREREQUISITES
It is better that before starting the course the basic understanding of website is required. At least
the various features of website are mandatory. There is no need for coding knowledge.

Unit – II: WordPress Themes
Free theme Vs Paid Theme - Theme Selection Process - Adding/installing Themes - Changing
Themes - Preview & Activating Themes - Working with Widgets - Installing widgets in sidebar -
Installing widgets in footer - Working with Menu for your Website - Creating menus - Adding
pages, posts, categories to menus - Creating Sub-menus - Deleting items from menu.
Unit – III: WordPress Plugins
Installing plugins - Activating Plugin & managing plugins - Upgrading plugins - Recommended
Plugins.
Unit – IV: Working with Content
Posts Vs Pages - Adding Hyperlinks - Playing with Media content - Previewing and Editing
Posts - Previewing and Editing Pages - Page Order - Creating a post - Adding Media files to
