1 - The cost for all items in this BOQ, in general, includes deploying of any machineries, manpower, carrying out of any
relocations/ removal/ salvage/ disposal /reinstating tasks. However, particular issues to the costs of items mentioned
under each section in this BOQ.
2 - Details of work method & equipment/machinery for different types of work shall be brought to the attention of Engineer
to get approval of Engineer before commencing the jobs.

Items related to water well

NOTE:
Cost for water well in this section includes all types of works, efforts, machineries, materials, manpower,
transportations, installation, concrete works, water services works to complete a functioning well to the full approval
of Engineer.
1 Arrangement of water drainage temporary channel in the site. This item is to
divert/connect the well-capacity-water-flow toward a safe place within/outside the
compound. The temporary drainage system could be consist of pipes/conduits, and
some surface channel excavation/preparation. The temporary water channel will be Engineer's approval
removed after well-capacity-test is done. The cost for this item includes all materials,
excavation, diversion, connection and also removal of them back. -

2 Drilling a well (using rotary-type drilling method/ machinery) with 300mm (12")
diameter in any type strata to a depth of 80 meters.
The cost includes execution of any surveying required to investigate proper under-
ground water-source for the well (if required).

(NOTE: Actual well depth will depend to the site/strata condition water discharge and
status, and therefore will be re-adjusted by UNOPS engineer during the work for a
"successful well".
Specifications for

Cost for this item includes all process of well-capacity tests required to proof the well
is "Successful well". Successful well means that well capacity to be (>60
liters/minutes for at least 48 hours continuous pumping) of potable water.

The cost includes preparation of reports and diagrams at the end of work about
geological condition of the well, yield of well, ground water level etc. Consult
Engineer for details of this item. -

8 PCC M-150 apron structure
This is 6 sq.m concrete apron around the water well. The structure includes base
compaction, 100mm thick gravel layer and 100mm thick PCC apron as per given

and materials to full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.
