UNIT 3 Free Writing Desert Island

 Writing Task
While you were travelling on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean, you were caught in a storm. You then
took shelter on a desert island. Read the following factsheet that you found somewhere on the island
and make a survival plan. Write a diary to create a five-day record of survival in 150 to 180 words.

The desert island is located somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a small

island with trees, a small mountain, many monkeys and pigeons. Here’s a
list of things you can find on the island:

✓ Water
✓ Coconuts and pineapples
✓ Lots of rocks and wood sticks
✓ Performance Plus Listening Book 1 (with CDs)
✓ A broken treehouse
✓ A saucepan
✓ A bottle of expired coke
✓ A map leading to a secret box
(which takes three days to get there)
✓ A cute little boar
✓ A crocodile (an angry one)

*** There is a ship passing through the island within a visible distance in
every five days. It’s best to gain its attention to get out!
