Note: First the allotment will be done for NRI category candidates (who have submitted the required documents
applicable for the NRI Category and paid the NRI Category fee) as against NRI Category vacant seats. In case of non-
reporting of eligible NRI Candidates during the Stray vacancy round, unfilled seats of the NRI category will be made
available for allotment under the General category with General Category Fee.

2. Eligibility
 NEET qualified unallotted candidates as per DGHS / MCC list (Eligible Candidates for Deemed University
Stray Vacancy) to be released by MCC.
 You MUST meet all the Eligibility criteria as per NEET (UG) 2022 Information Bulletin. Click here to check your

 There is NO provision for changing the category from GENERAL to NRI during the stray vacancy round.

4. Stray Vacancy Counseling Process

 The stray vacancy counseling process will consist of Online Registration, Physical Reporting, Registration,
Document Verification, Fee Payment Confirmation, Display of Merit List, Seat Allotment and, Admission
formalities

4.1 Reporting / Registration
 Candidates MUST physically report to the reporting venue as per the Reporting Schedule for Registration.
o Any authorized person in absence of the Candidate will NOT be entertained.

4.2 Document Verification (All in Originals)

 All of the following documents in originals MUST be submitted for verification and submission.
 Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute / College / University and
come for admission with a certificate stating that "their original certificates are deposited with the Institute /
College / University" will NOT be allowed to participate in the Stray Vacancy Counseling process.
 Candidates without original documents will NOT be allowed to participate in the Counseling process under
any circumstances
 NO additional time will be provided for producing the original certificates.
 Payment instrument (Account payee Demand Draft) / Fee transfer details (Transaction ID in case of Online
payment/ UTR Number in case of NEFT/ RTGS) to be submitted at the time of Document Verification.

 Full fee must be paid before reporting to the Counseling venue and requests for extension will NOT

 The fee would be refunded within 7 working days OR the Demand Draft would be returned in caseof
non-allotment of a seat at the end of Counseling.

4.3 Fee Payment

Candidates desirous of participation in the Stray Vacancy Counseling process MUST transfer the required fee (I

Display of Merit List

 MBBS: The final merit list will be displayed at the counseling venue at 2.30 PM, 27 December 2022.
 Only those candidates will be part of the merit list whose names appear in the DGHS / MCC list of unallotted
candidates AND those who have satisfactorily completed the document verifications AND provided proof of
fee payment via online transfer / demand draft
 Parents / Candidates will have the opportunity for any clarifications after the display of the merit list & before
the start of the seat allotment process.

Seat Allotment Process

 Seat allotment for General/FOR/NRI Category
o Candidates who have registered for General /FOR/NRI category seats and included in the MAHE
Merit list will be called as per NEET All India Rank and seat allotment will be done as per the
availability.
o The choice of campus made by the candidate is final & binding and cannot be altered
later under any circumstances

Completion of reporting formalities under DGHS / MCC portal.

o Provisional Admission Letter regenerated from MCC portal will be handed over

Admission Formalities
 On seat allotment, admission formalities (Roll No generation, Issue of MAHE Manipal Admission order etc.)
will be completed to confirm the allotted seat

Hostel Booking
 Allotted candidates may approach the respective Hostel Section to book the hostels, only on completion of
the seat allotment
o The Hostel will be allotted only on the generation of MAHE Manipal Roll No

Unallotted Candidates
On completion of Seat Allotment, if you remain unallotted, you are requested to collect your original documents and
provide your Bank details in the prescribed format for refund of fee. In case the payment mode is Demand Draft (DD),
the same will be returned. Kindly note that this process will be started only after the completion of the Seat Allotment
process.

Advisory
 Applicants are warned against possible cheating by unscrupulous agencies that may put out misleading
advertisements in newspapers or approach by other means, promising and assuring seats for various courses
for monetary considerations or by extracting a large sum of money from candidates / parents.
 Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) wishes to authoritatively refute all such misleading false claims
and advertisements.
 The number of candidates called for the stray vacancy counseling will be more than the total number of
seats available in the constituent colleges. Mere call for counseling and registration does not guarantee
admission to a course. This will exclusively depend on the candidate’s All India rank, the number of
candidates attending the counseling, their choice of course / institution.

 All admissions are subject to fulfillment of all the eligibility conditions by the candidate.
o If it is found at a later stage, during active verification, that the candidate has given false information
/ certificate or is found to have concealed some information his / her admission will be cancelled
without any notice.
o It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility requirements for
the course applied. Jurisdiction for dispute if any shall be at Udupi court only.

Manipal is well connected by Air, Rail and Road. The two main cities close to Manipal are Udupi (5 km away, Railway
station) and Mangalore (65 Kms away, Airport, Railway station). Pre-paid taxis are available.
