1. You are Ms. Radhika Menon, a renowned environmentalist. You have received an invitation from
the Principal of St. Joseph’s School, Coimbatore, to inaugurate an exhibition on Sustainable Living
on 5th September, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. Draft a formal reply in about 50
words, accepting the invitation.
2. A week-long cleanliness drive was undertaken by the Corporation of Chennai in collaboration with
various schools and NGOs. It aimed to raise awareness about hygiene and proper waste disposal. As
Priya/Prince, 12, A.V.M Road, Guindy, Chennai, write a report in 120–150 words for Chennai Times
about the event, highlighting the key activities and student participation.

3. Read the extract given below and answer the questions that follow.
