2. Cách dùng
- Chỉ hành động mang những đặc điểm sau:
+ Đã xảy ra trong quá khứ:
Eg: He did his homework with his friend.
+ Đã kết thúc tại thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ
Eg: He was born in 2005
+ Xen vào hành động đang xảy ra trong quá khứ
Eg: When I am having shower, my phone rang
3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết
Trong câu có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian trong quá khứ:
- yesterday (hôm qua).
- last night/last week/last month/last year: tối qua/tuần trước/tháng trước/năm ngoái.
- ago: cách đây (two hours ago: cách đây 2 giờ/ two weeks ago: cách đây 2 tuần...).
- in + một mốc thời gian trong quá khứ (in 1998, in 2000…).
- when: khi (trong câu kể).
4. Cách thêm -ed

một âm tiết : nguyên âm + phụ stop = stopped

nhân 2 phụ âm + ed
