Technology Provider Agreements
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has established comprehensive partnerships with leading
electrolyzer manufacturers through strategic technology provider agreements. In June 2022,
NTPC REL issued a landmark tender for selecting electrolyzer technology providers for
participating in upcoming green hydrogen projects [1] . The tender was structured for a 2-year
period with the following capacity allocations:
PEM Technology: 400 MW capacity
Non-PEM/Alkaline Technology: 600 MW capacity
Major Electrolyzer Contracts Awarded
Ohmium International Partnership
NTPC REL awarded what was described as India's largest PEM electrolyzer deal to Ohmium
International in June 2023 [2] [3] . The partnership encompasses:
Capacity: Up to 400 MW of PEM electrolyzer projects
Duration: 2-year agreement valid through May 2025
Applications: Diverse industrial applications including ammonia production, transportation,
and power generation

In July 2023, NTPC REL awarded India's largest alkaline electrolyzer contract to Chennai-
