Infrastructure

• High Network Performance

AKNET IDC is connected to tier 1 internet backbones via two very reliable
network operators. Primary link and secondary is connected through SEA-ME-
WE-4 submarine cable (Bdhub) and (Level3) using end to end fiber with
optional resilience through Hong Kong Teleport (APT) using VSAT connectivity.
Both links are connected to carrier grade Cisco routers running BGP4. BGP
ensures selecting best path to any destination, detecting network links failures
and automatically rerouting network traffic through any available network
path.

• High Security

AKNET IDC is well protected from any type of hacking, spamming or virus attack
using industry leading security solutions from Cisco Systems. Well maintained
security policy ensures all the systems are installed latest security updates and
also prevents allowing technical staff opening any security holes mistakenly or
deliberately. Physical access to the data center is protected using Bio Metric
access controllers and monitored using remote controlled IP Cameras.

• High Availability

AKNET IDC is well equipped with 20 KVA parallel redundant UPS’s and 60 KVA auto
trigger diesel generator providing enough power backup to run the system with no
general power supply even for weeks. All the servers running varies services like DNS,
Mail, Web, Network Monitoring, etc. are runs only on branded servers (HP) well
equipped with RAID arrays and redundant power supplies. For the network services
run only on Cisco devices
