Signal Definition Explanation
Feeding Request 1 IN3 (black, blue)Weighing hoppers only feed after
receiving a request signal.
Connect foot switch if materials are
picked manually.
Feeding Request 2 IN4 Connect another foot switch if
materials are picked by two workers.
(In this case, switch “Running Mode”
in “System” page to 4)
Feeding Complete OUT1(red, yellow) A signal pulse sent by the combination
weigher after finishing feeding
materials to the packaging device. The
delay and length of this signal is
determined by “Parameter - Signal
Delay and Signal Time”, respectively.

1.5. Testing
After installing each component and connecting all the signal wires, turn on the
power and follow the steps below:
1. Adjust the feed bin to a proper height based on target weight and materials.
Theoretically, the larger the size of the material, the greater the target weight, and
therefore the higher the feed bin. Vice versa.
2. In the initial interface after turning on power, follow the hint to click “Reset”.
If reset failed, watch the reported message, and start checking accordingly.
3. After reset succeeded, go to “Manual” page. On the right side of the disk
shown in screen, start testing every required signal. The length of each input signal
needs to be longer than 0.5 second to get detected.
4. After testing completed, go to the next part Step 1.6.
1.6. Set a Preset Plan
Follow the steps below to set the parameters of a plan:
1. Go to “Parameter" page, set “ProgNo.” to 0(as default).
2. Set “Target Weight”, “UpperLimit”, and “LowerLimit”.
1.7. Run & Vibration Power Adjustment
After setting the parameters, adding in materials and follow the steps below:
1. Go to “Homepage”, click “Run” to activate, and send a feeding request signal.
2. While it is working, adjust vibration power according to the hint at the top of
the disk in homepage. You can change the main vibrator power along with linear
vibrator powers. You can make changes to all hoppers using “↑” ”↓” or to each
hopper individually.
3. The larger the vibration power, the smaller the “hopper group”, vice versa. It is
best to keep “hopper group” around 3.0.
4. After the vibration power being adjusted and the weight and speed being
stabilized, click “save”.
10
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
2. Daily Use
2.1. To Start
1. Turn on the power, and go to initial interface.
2. Click “Reset”.
3. If reset succeeded, click “Enter”, otherwise watch the reported message and
start checking accordingly.
4. Click “Run” in homepage.
2.2. Adding New Preset Plans
1.Go to “Parameter” page.
2.Simply change the “ProgNo.”.
2.3. Changing Vibration Power
Make sure to first adjust the feed bin(picture 1.2-1 No.1) to appropriate height.
Make it higher for large materials and low for light materials. (materials may
get stuck if it is too low)
Change vibration power in “Homepage”.
Vibration power consists of “Main Vibrator Power” and “Linear Vibrator
Power”, which is represented by No.9 and No.2 in “picture 1.2-1”, respectively.
Two vibrator powers can be changed together.
The goal of adjusting vibration power is to control the weight of each feeding
action to reach an ideal “hopper group”(around 3.0).
Increase vibration power if “hopper group” is too low; decrease it if too large.
An ideal “hopper group” is not compulsory. It is enough as long as the weight
and speed satisfy the requirement.
2.4. Homepage Disk
Every time a feeding action is triggered, the disk in “Homepage” refreshes its
color. Explanations of different colors are below.
Red: current discharging hoppers weighed correctly; feeding succeed.
Yellow: current discharging hoppers weighed incorrectly; this is a forcing
discharge. If this appears frequently, go to “Homepage” and check if the value
of “hopper group” is reasonable(see 2.3 for details). Then go to “Parameter”
and see if “Forced Hops” is set too low. Increasing “Forced Hops” could lower
the possibility of forcing discharge, but it might affect the speed.
White: lack of materials.
11
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
Blue: sufficient materials.
Light blue: insufficient materials.
Green: hoppers in auto-zeroing process.
Black: disabled hoppers. Go to “Manual” page and click “enable hoppers” to
activate them.
2.5 Calibration
If a weighing hopper gives oscillated weight, or it weighs different from 1kg
after putting in a 1kg weight, go to “Calibration” page and follow the hints to
calibrate. While doing so, be careful of the followings:
During the process, do not worry if weight does not set to 0. Continue the
process until it is done and then check the weight.
Make sure the current hopper is the one that needs calibration.
The weight needs to be hanged under the weighing hopper but not the charging
hopper above. (see 1.2 for details)
Please do not frequently launch this process since there is little relationship
between inaccurate weight and calibration. Normally, this process is only
needed when the weight reading is oscillating or the senor is changed.
2.6. Collect Hopper and Forcing Discharge Settings
You can turn on/off collect hopper’s features in “Collect Mode” under
“Parameter” page.
If the collect hopper has a forcing discharge exit, set “Collect Mode” to 2 to
turn on the forcing discharge feature(Forced Mode).
If collect hopper’s charging valve closed before charging finishes which makes
materials suck, increase “Collect Hop Open Time”.
If weighing hoppers start discharging before collect hopper’s valve closes,
increase “Weight Hop Open”.
If collect hopper opens its charging valve before weighing hoppers discharge,
increase “Collect Hop Open”.
2.7. Feeding Complete Signal
“Parameter” - “Signal Delay” and “Signal Time” are used to set feeding
complete signal.
2.8. Pack Counting Feature
“Parameter” - set “Weight Mode” to 1 to activate this feature.
12
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
2.9. Rotated Main Vibrator Disk Feature
A rotatable main vibrator disk is needed for this feature.
This feature is set in factory settings and cannot be changed.
Rotating speed could be changed by adjusting the frequency of the inverter in
electric box. Normally this does not require changes.
2.10. Auto Zeroing Feature
While working, each weighing hopper automatically tare once after an interval.
“Parameter” - “Auto Zero” to set the interval.
2.11. Successive Feeding Feature
When feeding hopper’s exit is too small which causes materials stuck if all
weighing hoppers feed simultaneously, this feature is made to let them
discharge successively with a short interval.
“Parameter” - “Successively” is the relevant parameter;
Note: activate this feature will lower the speed.
“Successively” = 0: feature off;
“Successively” = 1: at most one hopper can feed at a time. This makes larger
impact on speed, but can effectively prevent materials from getting stuck;
“Successively” = 2: at most two hoppers can feed at a time. This makes smaller
impact on speed, but not as effective as it is set to 1;
Set “SucInterval” to adjust the interval.
2.12. Successive Weighing Feature
When the target weight is too large and can’t be reached if only weigh once,
this feature is made to weigh multiple times until the target weight is reached;
“Parameter” - “Feed Times” is the relevant parameter;
For example: suppose the actual target weight is 5kg, you can set “Target
Weight” to 2.5kg, and then set “Feed Times” to 2, which means to feed twice to
reach the actual target weight.
2.13. AFC Feature (vibration power auto-adjusting)
“Parameter” - “AFC Mode” is the relevant parameter;
“AFC Mode” = 0: feature off;
“AFC Mode” = 1: adjust each weighing hopper’s vibration power individually
13
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
based on the settled “Single Hops”;
“AFC Mode” = 2: adjust all weighing hoppers’ vibration power at the same
time based on the settled “Target Hops”;
We suggest to turn this feature off if material supply can’t be done within one
vibrating period;
We also suggest to turn this feature off if the materials are very large particles.
3. Other Problems and Solutions
3.1. Materials get stuck in charging hopper or weighing hopper
1. Hopper closed before discharge finishes.
Solutions: “Parameter” - set “Hop Close Delay”
2. Charging hopper discharge before weighing hopper closes it valve.
Solutions: “Parameter” - set “Line Vibrate Delay” / “Store Hop Delay” larger.
3.2. Displayed weight is inaccurate, frequent forcing discharge
Solution:
If “run”- “Hopper Group” is less than 3.0, decrease “Linear Vibrator Power”.
Increase “Forced Hops”.
“Forced Hops”: 7 by default, and we suggest to set this value greater than or
equal to 6. The larger the “Forced Hops”, the lower the possibility for forcing
discharge and the poorer the weighing continuity. This can’t be set larger than the
total number of hoppers of the product.
Increase “No Load” , which is recommend to be between 5% to 15%. (set
15% fixed if high speed is not required)
3.3. Displayed weight does not match the actual weight
Solution:
1. If the error is very small, set “Offset Weight”, otherwise move to the next step;
2. Increase “Steady Time”. If this doesn’t work, cancel this change and move to
the next step;
3. Check if any materials stuck in chute coaming or feed bin;
4. Check if any materials stuck in or leak from the lower part of machine
body(collect hopper, packaging machine, etc.).
5. Check are there any materials stuck in weighing hoppers, charging hoppers, or
14
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
other components;
6. Go to “Manual” page, click “SetZero”. Then take turns hanging a 1kg weight
on every weighing hopper and see if the weight of each hopper is 1000g. Calibrate
all hopper with large error;
3.4. Feeding twice or more under one signal
Make sure “Feed Times” is correctly set.
Make sure “Signal Mode” is correctly set.
3.5. Vibrator doesn’t work
Solution:
1. Go to “Manual” page, click “Linear Vibrator”, then click the corresponding
hopper on the screen, and see if it works. If not, please contact after-sale personnel.
If the problem is in the main vibrator, simply click “Main Vibrator” in “Manual”
page.
3.6. Abnormal sound from vibrator
solution:
1. Go to “Manual” page, click “Linear Vibrator”, and then take turns clicking all
the hoppers on the disk as well as the “Main Vibrator” button to check which
vibrator does this sound;
2. Check if any linear vibrator disks are physically contacted, which makes them
collide with each other while vibrating, therefore causing the sound.
3. Decreases the corresponding “Linear Vibrator Power”.

4. Parameters Description
Parameter Description
Target Weight Desired weighing value.
Upper Limit Maximum combined weight = target weight + Upper Limit
Lower Limit Minimum combined weight = target weight - Lower Limit
Set Speed Weighing speed.
Vibrate Time Linear vibrator disk’s vibrating length for supplying
materials.
Hop Close Delay The valve of the hopper closes after this period of pause as
it opens to the largest angle.
Steady Time Length of the stabilizing time for weighing, ≥1s.
Offset Weight Error between the actual weight and the displayed weight.
Line Vibrate Timer starts as the charging hopper discharges. The linear
Delay vibrator begins supplying materials after this delay.
16
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
Store Hop Delay Timer starts as the weighing hopper discharges. The
charging hopper discharges after this delay.
Auto Zero Length of the interval between each auto-zeroing action.
Forced Hops Default: 7; recommend: ≥ 6; cannot be greater than the
total number of working hoppers.
When there are at least “Forced Hops” weighing hopper(s)
involve in weighing process and yet the desired combined
weight cannot be reached, a combination is forced to be
made. The larger the “Forced Hops”, the smaller the
possibility for forcing discharge and the unstabler the
speed, vice versa.
Forced Mode 0:forced combination is made based on the least error.
1:forced combination is made only with combined weight
greater than the target weight.
Successively Maximum number of hoppers allowed to discharge
simultaneously at each feeding.
SucInterval Length of the interval between each successive feeding.
No Load For example, if this is set to 5, then when a weighing
hopper has its material weight less than 5% of the “Target
Weight” and does not involve in a combination, it will call
one supply request before next discharge. If “Target
Weight” is too large and the hopper needs more than one
supply requests to complete weighing, you can set this to a
fixed 15%.
No Select If a weighing hopper haven’t been involve in a
combination “No Select” times of feeding, then at next
feeding it will be forced to combine with other hoppers.
Feed Times Number of times the weigher feeds when receiving one
feeding signal.
Motor Speed Motor speed for charging and weighing hoppers while
open valves.
Weight Mode Please check the hints on touch screen.
Add Material When materials are detected by the level sensor, the
Time elevator will keep adding materials for this span of time.
17
RUBBUR 广东省汕头市如伴机电科技有限公司
Signal Mode 0-Signal Pulse Memory On;
1-Signal Pulse Memory Off;
2-Level Signal;
3-Inactive (Ignoring feeding request, discharge
automatically when weighing is ready. This is constantly
on)
Signal Delay When the weigher discharges, feeding complete signal is
sent after this delay.
Signal Time Length of feeding complete signal.
Output When Sent a feeding complete signal immediately once the
Start machine activates.
AFC Mode 0:Feature off
1:Single Hops (adjust each weighing hopper’s vibration
power individually based on this value)
2:Target Hops (adjust all weighing hoppers’ vibration
power at the same time based on this value)
Collect Mode 0: On
1: Off
2:With forcing discharge exit (materials will go this exit
when being forcing discharged)
Weight Hop Open When collect hopper discharges, after this value of time,
weighing hoppers can discharge.
Collect Hop Open When weighing hoppers discharge, after this value of time,
collect hopper can discharge.
Collect Hop Open Collect hopper’s valve closes after this delay after it opens.
