EVENT- 1 20th year of Excellence

PITCH PERFECT
(WESTERN VOCAL SOLO)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 3 minutes
and a maximum of 5 minutes.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
The number of participant is 1.
Participants must perform songs in English only.
Please note live instruments or live music are not allowed.
High-quality karaoke tracks (without backing vocals) are permitted.
The track must be submitted on a USB drive during registration.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Pitch Accuracy - 10 Marks


Rhythm & Timing - 10 Marks
Vocal Technique - 10 Marks
Pronunciation & Diction - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance - 10 Marks

The dress code is school uniform.

EVENT- 2 20th year of Excellence

SWAR-E-HIND
(INDIAN PATRIOTIC GROUP SONG)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 4 minutes
and a maximum of 6 minutes.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
The number of participants should be between 6 and 8.
The composition must be entirely based on patriotism (Bollywood
songs are allowed).
High-quality karaoke tracks allowed.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Pitch Accuracy - 10 Marks


Rhythm & Timing - 10 Marks
Harmony & Synchronization - 10 Marks
Pronunciation & Diction - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance - 10 Marks

Participants must wear traditional Indian ethnic wear.

EVENT- 3 20th year of Excellence

CHAROLE CRESCENDO
(WESTERN CHOIR)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 4 minutes
and a maximum of 6 minutes.
The number of participants should be between 6 and 8.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
Participating teams can perform English songs from any genre. Raps
are not allowed.
Please note live instruments or live music are not allowed.
High-quality karaoke tracks (without backing vocals) should be used.
Tracks must be submitted on a USB drive during registration.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Pitch Accuracy - 10 Marks


Rhythm & Timing - 10 Marks
Harmony & Synchronization - 10 Marks
Pronunciation & Diction - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance - 10 Marks

The dress code is school uniform.


EVENT- 4
RHYTHMIC SYNERGY
2
(INDO-WESTERN FUSION BAND) 20th year of Excellence

Guidelines:
The number of participants should be between 5 and 7. Teachers are
not permitted to serve as accompanists.
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 5 minutes
and a maximum of 7 minutes.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
The time allotted for instrument setup and sound check will be 5
minutes.
Any genre is allowed, but the composition must reflect a fusion of
Indian and Western music.
Please note that pre-recorded tracks are not allowed during the band
performance.
A basic 9-piece drum kit inclusive of 3 Cymbals, Cajon, Congo,
Djembe, Darbuka and 1 keyboard (Yamaha PSR 970) will be provided
by the host school.
Please note that in-built beat patches/beat loops will not be allowed
using the keyboard.
Schools are welcome to bring their own keyboard.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Band Coordination - 10 Marks


Creativity & Presentation - 10 Marks
Instrumental & Vocal Proficiency - 10 Marks
Harmony & Synchronization - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance - 10 Marks

The dress code is school uniform.

EVENT- 5 20th year of Excellence

RAAG-RANG
(INDIAN SEMI CLASSICAL DUET)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 3 minutes
and a maximum of 5 minutes.
The number of participants is 2.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
Songs and compositions based solely on Raag are allowed.
(Bollywood songs are allowed).
Please note live instruments or live music are not allowed.
High-quality karaoke tracks (without backing vocals) should be used.
Tracks must be submitted on a USB drive during registration.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Pitch Accuracy - 10 Marks


Rhythm & Timing - 10 Marks
Vocal Technique - 10 Marks
Pronunciation & Diction - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance - 10 Marks

Participants must wear Indian traditional attire.

EVENT- 6 20th year of Excellence

NINAAD
(INDIAN CLASSICAL SOLO)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 3 minutes
and a maximum of 5 minutes.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
The number of participant is 1.
Compositions with strong classical elements (e.g., Bandish, Tarana,
Khayal, etc.) are only allowed. Film songs, devotional bhajans, or light
music will not be allowed.
Performances may feature live music with up to two accompanists,
one of whom may be a teacher.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Sur (Pitch Accuracy) - 10 Marks


Taal (Rhythm & Timing) - 10 Marks
Vocal Technique - 10 Marks
Bhava (Expression & Emotions) - 10 Marks
Improvisation skills & Overall Presentation - 10 Marks

Participants must wear traditional Indian attire.

EVENT- 7 20th year of Excellence

SUFI RANG
(QAWWALI - GROUP)
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 5 minutes
and a maximum of 7 minutes.
The number of participants should be between 6 and 8.
Please note that exceeding the allotted time will lead to a deduction in
marks.
The composition must be purely devotional or message-based (love-
based Qawwali s are not allowed).
Compositions can be from Bollywood movies.
Please note live instruments or live music are not allowed.
High-quality karaoke tracks (without backing vocals) should be used.
Tracks must be submitted on a USB drive during registration.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Pitch Accuracy - 10 Marks


Rhythm & Timing - 10 Marks
Harmony & Synchronization - 10 Marks
Pronunciation & Diction - 10 Marks
Stage Presence & Overall Performance -10 Marks

The dress code is traditional attire.

EVENT- 8 20th year of Excellence

(Taal Tarang)
INDIAN CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTAL SOLO
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 4 minutes
and a maximum of 6 minutes.
The number of participant is 1.
Composition should be purely classical and based on Raag/Taala.
Performances may include live music, up to two accompanists, one of
whom may be a teacher
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Sur/ Taal - 10 Marks


Difficulty of Composition - 10 Marks
Creativity & Improvisation - 10 Marks
Technical Proficiency - 10 Marks
Overall Performance - 10 Marks

The dress code is traditional attire.

EVENT- 9 20th year of Excellence

(Delight of Melodies)
WESTERN INSTRUMENTAL SOLO
Guidelines:
The duration of the performance should be a minimum of 4 minutes
and a maximum of 6 minutes.
The number of participant is 1.
The performance piece can be self-composed, Western Classical or
Contemporary.
The performance will be judged based on the following criteria.

Melody/ Rhythm - 10 Marks


Difficulty of Composition - 10 Marks
Creativity & Improvisation - 10 Marks
Technical Proficiency - 10 Marks
Overall Performance - 10 Marks

The dress code is School Uniform.
