OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: NATIONAL CAMPUS DEBATE 2025

Dear Esteemed Students,

Yobe State University is proud to invite all undergraduate students to participate in this
year’s National Campus Debate, organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
The theme, “Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship: Harnessing Digital
Technologies and Innovative Thinking to Unlock Entrepreneurial Potential and Drive
Inclusive Economic Growth,” offers a platform to voice your ideas and contribute to
Nigeria’s socio-economic discourse.

How to Participate:

1. Prepare a 5-minute video (MP4/AVI format) addressing the debate theme,


showcasing your analytical and oratory skills.
2. Submit your video to your Departmental President from now till 27th June,
2025.
3. Departmental Presidents will forward shortlisted entries from his/her
Department to Comrade Abdullahi Maina (Chairman, Committee on Debates,
YSU) till 27th June, 2025 midnight for final scrutiny at the University level.
4. Nominated candidates will be contacted for proper orientation and
preparation to represent our prestigious Institution.

Key Guidelines:

➢ Videos will be judged on relevance, depth, delivery, creativity, and technical


quality (see attached criteria).
➢ Top entries will represent YSU at state, zonal, and national stages, culminating
in the Grand Finale in Abuja.

Note: Nominated candidates will undergo orientation to prepare for the competition.
