New Delhi, the 19fr June, 2025.

G.S.R 402(E).- In exercise ofthe powers conferred by clause (iii) of sub-section (2) ofsection
56 and clause (d) of sub-section (2) ofsection 100 read with sub-section (3) of section 53 and section 57 of
the Metro Railways (Operation and Maintenance) Act,2002 (60 of2002), the Central Government hereby
makes the following rules to amend the Metro Railways (Procedure of Claims) Rules, 2017, namely: -
l. Short title and commencement. - (l) These rules may be called the Metro Railways (Procedure of
Claims) Amendment Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date oftheh publication in the Official Gazette.
2. ln the Metro Railways (Procedure of Claims) Rules, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the principal
rules).-
(l) In rule 17.-
(a) in sub-rule (2), for the words "four lakh", the words "eight lakh" shall be substituted;
(b) in sub-rule (3), for the words "eighty thousand", the words .'one lakh sixty thousand,, shall be
substituted.
(2) ln rule l8
ofthe principal rules, for the words "five lakh", the words "eight lakh" shall be substituted.
3. For the Second Schedule of the principal rules, the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely:-
