✨ [RECAP | LinkedIn Training Session - Building a Professional Profile] ✨

🌟 On October 8th, as part of my Business Communication class, I had the


opportunity to attend a LinkedIn training session presented by Ms. Nhi Tran (Lynn
Tran), MBA, and our special guest Ms. Tran Nguyen. This workshop completely
changed my perception of LinkedIn, showing me that it is more than simply a
"online CV”. Linkedln is a strategic tool for developing a personal brand and making
important professional contacts.
🌱 As a first-year student at UEH University, I'm in the early stages of exploring
career development and often felt unsure about how to present myself
professionally. Although I had heard about LinkedIn before, I had never explored or
used the platform. So when I was asked to create my first LinkedIn account, I felt
quite confused and didn’t know where to start. This workshop gave me actionable
insights on how each section of my profile, from my headline to my skills list, can
contribute to a stronger, more professional online presence.
💼 During the training, Ms. Tran explained how to make a great first impression with a
professional avatar, an eye-catching cover, and a headline that captures my
interests and aspirations. I was particularly inspired by her advice on building a
unique “About” section to showcase my personality and ambitions. This motivated
me to update my profile with specific skills and I can already see how it makes me
stand out.
🌐 I’ve also learned the importance of a focused connection strategy. Instead of
randomly adding connections, I now aim to connect with peers, alumni, and
professionals who align with my career goals. This approach has not only expanded
my network but has also introduced me to individuals who inspire me and provide
valuable guidance.
💖 I’m incredibly grateful to Ms. Nhi Tran (Lynn Tran), MBA, for her dedicated
mentorship and support, and a special thank you to Ms. Tran Nguyen for her
insightful and practical advice on building an impactful LinkedIn profile.
