Virgin PTFE Sheet

Virgin PTFE, also known as Pure Teflon, possesses extremely low friction characteristics as well as
excellent chemical, and temperature resistance. PTFE has multiple uses in the construction and
industrial industries due to its UV and ozone resistance, making it ideal for outdoor applications in the
most extreme weather conditions. This grade of PTFE has a smooth finish and the lowest coefficient
of friction values of any materials, making it perfect for non-stick guides, slides, and scrapers. Due to
its dielectric strength, high temperature resistance and anti-static properties, PTFE is commonly used
as an electrical insulation material that will perform in the harshest of environments. Bonding PTFE is
extremely difficult but still possible. For smaller jobs, glue and primer is generally used and for larger
projects, chemically etched PTFE sheet is available. For more information on bonding methods please

Availability:

Moulded PTFE sheets are 1500mm2 with thicknesses ranging from 1.5 through to 12mm.
0.15mm to 1.5mm thicknesses are available skived off a 1500mm wide continuous roll.
Virgin PTFE is sold by the sheet, the metre, or can be cut or machined to suit your requirements.
