1. Project Overview
This Scope of Work defines the framework for implementing a Warehouse Management
System B-Warezen (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency, streamline inventory handling,
and ensure real-time visibility of stock across three warehouse locations in Mundra, Gujarat.
The WMS will include features for inbound and outbound logistics, storage, cargo handling,
and integrated invoicing functionalities.
2. In-Scope Functionality
2.1 Core Warehouse Operations
• Receiving:
• Verification against Purchase Orders.
• Quality checks and quantity validation.
• Systematic receipt confirmation and entry.
• Putaway:
• System-suggested optimal storage locations.
• Rules based on product type, turnover rate, and storage compatibility.
• Storage:
• Granular tracking by rack/bin/zone.
• Real-time visibility with audit trail.
• Picking:
• Configurable picking strategies:
Wave picking
Zone picking
Batch picking
• Packing:
• Consolidation of items into packages.
• Auto-generation of packing lists and labels.
• Shipping:

• Load verification and shipment dispatch.
• Generation of delivery documents (e.g., bill of lading).
2.2 Inventory Management
• Live Stock Visibility: Across all locations and zones.
• Location-Based Tracking: Traceability of item movement.
• Cycle Counting: Configurable inventory audit schedules.
• Adjustments: Handling damage, shrinkage, or excess.
2.3 Cargo Management
• Support for handling various cargo types:
• Containers (e.g., 45 ft, 28-ton).
• Machinery, rolls, bags, and non-standard items.
• Input and tracking of:

2.4 Multi-Warehouse Support
• Central control panel for all 3 locations:
• Warehouse 1: 10,000 sq ft
• Warehouse 2: 700 sq ft
• Warehouse 3 (New): 125,000 sq ft (Under Construction)
• Inter-Warehouse Transfers with tracking and documentation.
2.5 Invoicing Integration
• Auto-generation of:
• Storage charges
• Handling fees

• Export of invoice data to existing accounting software (integration touchpoints to be
confirmed).
2.6 Reporting & Analytics

• Drill-down by warehouse/location/category
2.7 User & Access Management
• Role-based access:
o Admin, Warehouse Manager, Picker/Packer, Finance
• User creation, management, and role assignments.
3. Out-of-Scope Functionality
• Integration with complex third-party ERP systems.
• Full-scale financial accounting (GL, P&L, etc.).
• RFID, IoT, or robotics integrations.
• Native mobile app development (responsive web interface only).
• AI-based forecasting or demand planning.
• Real-time API-based shipping rate integrations.
• Migration of detailed historical data (limited to initial master data).

6. Client Responsibilities
• Provide access to key personnel for requirement discussions.
• Deliver accurate master data in agreed formats.
• Ensure hardware and internet readiness at warehouses.
• Nominate end-users for UAT and training sessions.
• Provide timely feedback and sign-offs during each phase.

7. Assumptions
• Client agrees on and signs off the functional scope prior to configuration.
• No custom module development unless explicitly agreed in change requests.
• All third-party systems (accounting, reporting) support basic data exchange.
• WMS will be deployed as a web application (cloud/on-prem to be finalized).
• Post-implementation support is limited to 1 week unless extended by AMC.
8. Project Governance
• Project Manager (Client & Vendor): To oversee project milestones and decisions.
• Weekly Progress Reviews: Via video meetings.
• Change Requests: Managed via formal approval process and impact analysis.
• Sign-offs: Required at each phase to proceed to the next.
