MATURITY AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH

What is maturity and spiritual growth: It is the process by which
we grow in understanding, character, in relation to God and to our
neighbor. Just as living seeds grow to become mature plants and
babies grow up to become mature adults, just like the new ones
Christians grow in the likeness of Christ.
Spiritual maturity is a combination of character (being like Christ in life
interior) and conduct (Act like Christ in the outer life).
Therefore, to grow is the desire to be righteous and to resemble Christ more in our
daily lives.
IMPORTANCE OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY
When growth is hindered in the physical realm, whether by
malnutrition, disease or birth defects, the results can be
tragic. But an even greater tragedy is when believers do not grow or
they grow spiritually. After all, immature Christians cannot
fully appreciate all the blessings and privileges that God has reserved for you,
to serve Him with the usefulness that He desires.
Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.
Another importance of spiritual growth and maturity is the revelation that
we receive from God, when we are immature we do not receive revelation from
his word. John 16:12, 1 Corinthians 3:1.
HOW WE GROW AND MATURE SPIRITUALLY
We believe that spiritual maturity begins with a commitment, and is realized with
personal discipline. The Christian grows spiritually by developing habits
healthy ones that help you develop a character like that of Christ, and
conduct worthy of Him.
Spiritual growth begins first by believing and following Jesus Christ.
We do this through faith. Our spirituality grows and matures through:
Prayer (regularly talking with God).
Becoming students of His Word and teachings (being
disciples).
Sharing the blessings of our spirituality with others
(evangelizing).
Giving glory and praise to God through our conversation,
behavior, and songs (worship).
Love can start as a small seed. Our love grows when the
we exercise. Let's compare it to planting a seed. We take care of it, we fertilize it
(we feed), and it grows. We need to keep it away from weeds. Our
spirituality is very similar.

from the Bible, and surrounding ourselves with Christians who think like us. As we
