Purpose of Visit
On the morning of 11th July, our college had organized an educational visit to the local police station
to give students real-life exposure to the functioning of the police department. We gathered at the
college porch around 11:00 AM where our teacher provided initial instructions and briefed us about
the purpose and conduct expected during the visit.
Reaching the Police Station
After the briefing, we walked together in a queue to the nearby police station, which is located just a
short five-minute walk from our college. Upon arrival, we stood in two groups-one for male students
and the other for female students. Attendance was taken before we were allowed inside.
Outside the station, we noticed that several informative rules and instructions were displayed on the
walls. Inside, the environment was neat and professional, with various motivational quotes and
messages posted on the walls, reflecting the values of the police force.
Interaction with Officers
We were warmly welcomed by a lady police officer who introduced herself and her fellow officer.

She began the session by explaining the major responsibilities of police personnel, how they work to
maintain law and order, prevent criminal activities, and ensure public safety.
She also described the organizational setup of the station and the specific duties performed by
different officers working there. It was insightful to learn about the coordination and division of roles
in real-life law enforcement.
Question and Answer Session
Following the introduction, a Q&A session was conducted where students were encouraged to ask
questions. Many of us were curious and asked about various social and legal issues such as
cybercrimes, rape cases, and honey trap scenarios. The officers responded patiently and provided
clear, informative answers that helped us understand the legal processes involved.
Weapons Demonstration
Two officers then gave us a demonstration of the weapons used by the police. They displayed
different types of guns, explained how they function, their unique features, and how they are used in
real operations. They even shared a bit of the history behind the weapons.
We were also educated about different types of bullets, including plastic ones, and learned when
and why each type is used, such as during crowd control or in non-lethal operations.
Conclusion
This visit was a unique and enriching experience for us. It gave us an opportunity to learn about the
internal workings of a police station and the crucial role played by police officers in our society. The

sessions were highly informative, and the officers were very welcoming and cooperative.
We returned to our college with new knowledge, awareness, and respect for the work done by law
enforcement officers. The visit was not only educational but also an enjoyable and memorable
experience for everyone involved.
