ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF BAWAT BATA MAKABABASA
PROGRAM (BBMP) May 14 – June 11, 2025
I. Rationale
The alarming decline of reading ability of learners to read simple to complex
words, and understand what they are reading posed a great threat to the
development of the nation’s welfare in view of the fact that reading is crucial in
the education of people which plays a pivotal role in the dynamic and intrinsic
growth of a country. In light with this predicament the DEPED with the support of
stakeholders has developed, devised and implement a reading summer program
in order to help and guide these children who are struggling in their reading
journey that has hampered them to acquire more knowledge whis is essential to
their growth.
Through a whole-of-community approach, these summer programs will cultivate
collaborative partnerships with their parents, encourage teachers to work
together and engage community partners. Parents will be provided with
strategies and resources to reinforce home learning, teachers will collaboratively
plan, deliver and monitor the sessions, and community partners will be enjoined
to offer additional support, all working together to accelerate learners’ progress
toward grade-level proficiency and promote a sustainable culture of literacy.
