HOLY SCRIPTURE READINGS

REV. FR. ADRIAN M. VILLAESTER:
READING OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES: Psalm 116:12-18
12What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
14I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
15Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine
handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of
the LORD.
18I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

PEOPLE: Thanks be unto our LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

BISHOP +SLVILLAESTER: Shine within our hearts LORD JESUS CHRIST, open the
eyes of our minds that we may comprehend the message of YOUR GOSPEL. Instill in
us reverence for YOUR blessed Commandments and may our lives be pleasing to
YOU. In the name of the FATHER, SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT. Amen!

The Grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and the LOVE OF GOD THE FATHER, and the
fellowship of the HOLY SPIRIT be with you all.

PEOPLE: And also with you.

HOMILY
THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD OF GOD

LOVE OFFERING
We are not here just to be witnesses to these HOUSE BLESSING, but we are here to
Worship the LORD our GOD. As we Worship the LORD we need to offer HIM
something, for our Offering expresses our heartfelt Gratitude for everything that the
LORD has done and what HE is doing in our lives.

I believe that you received a LOVE OFFERING envelop, and for this, I would
suggest that those envelopes will be collected now, and be brought into the Altar.

BISHOP/PRIEST: Glory be to God; the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit:
All: And blessed be his Kingdom, now and forever; Amen.

BISHOP/PRIEST:
Father in heaven, I stand in faith and on the authority I have as a believer in
Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind every evil spirit and every evil
plan made for this home. I cancel the enemy's plans and call forth God's
plans for this home. In the name of Jesus Christ, by the power of His cross
and blood, I bind any spirits, powers and forces and command that you may
not speak, manifest, or move about this home. You may do nothing. You have
no power here. God's word says that God has plans for good and not evil for
us and I claim those plans now.

Lord, cover this home with the blood of Jesus. In the Name of Jesus Christ, by
the power of His blood, I break off every power of the kingdom of darkness
and cancel every argument that has established itself against the plans of
God for this home and for each of us, and spoil every attack of the enemy. I
call forth, in the name of Jesus, all of God's plans and purposes for this day
and for our lives. Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you and you have no
authority in this place or over any of us.

All: Amen.

BISHOP/PRIEST: Peace be with this house and with all who live here.
All respond: Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen.

The Celebrant may use these or similar words to introduce the house blessing:
When Christ took flesh through the Blessed Virgin Mary, he made his home
with us. Let us now pray that he will enter this home and bless it with his
presence. May he always be here among us; may he nurture our love for
each other, share in our joys, and comfort us in our sorrows. Inspired by his
teachings and example, and transformed by his Holy Spirit, let those who
dwell here seek to make their home before all else a dwelling place of love,
diffusing far and wide the goodness of Christ.

All: Amen.
All Respond: Thanks be to God.

Blessing the Water

BISHOP/PRIEST: We thank you, Almighty God, for the gift of water. Over it the
Holy Spirit moved in the beginning of creation. Through it you led the
children of Israel out of their bondage in Egypt into the land of
promise.
In it your Son Jesus received the baptism of John and was anointed by
the Holy Spirit as the Messiah, the Christ, to lead us, through his death
and resurrection, from the bondage of sin into everlasting life. Grant,
by the power of your Holy Spirit, that this water be sanctified to be a
sign of your dominion over all that it might touch.
All: Amen.

The blessings
(After this, all go from room to room, reading selections of Scripture, offering
prayers of intercession, sprinkling holy water, anointing with oil and censing.)

At the entrance:
BISHOP/PRIEST: O God, heavenly Father, we acknowledge that you are Lord of
heaven and earth. Protect our going out and our coming in. As your
children, dear Father, and in the strong name of your Son, Jesus Christ,
our Lord, we ask your blessing on this entry way. Grant by the power of
your Holy Spirit and the prayers of your saints, the banishment of
demons, the renunciation of all curses, and the entrance of your
angels. May the hospitality of this home be shared with all who visit,
that those who enter here may know your love and peace.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the living room:

BISHOP/PRIEST: O God, give your blessings to all who share this room, that
they may be knit together in companionship. Thank you for this place
to live. We claim this room for ______ (name) as a place of spiritual
safety and protection from all attacks of the enemy. By our authority
as children of God, we command every evil spirit claiming ground in
the structures and furnishings of this place to leave and never return.
Bring peace to this place, O Lord, and fill it with your presence. Be ever
present in the hearts of all who frequent this place. Let the words of
your servants be kindled in your fear and seasoned with salt, that
when they who have come here have departed, they may proclaim the
glory of you holy name.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the kitchen:
BISHOP/PRIEST: O Lord, our Shepherd, you fill the hungry with good things.
Grant that this kitchen may be a source of abundance, peace, and
restoration. May your presence in this place, dear Lord, and the
presence of your holy angels, drive away all fear, and deliver this room
from any evil that may attempt to reside here. We ask your Holy Spirit
to come and fill this place, and to send his anointing upon those who
work here.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the dining room:

BISHOP/PRIEST: Blessed are you, Lord of heaven and earth, for you give us
food and drink to sustain our lives and make our hearts glad. Deliver
this room, O Lord, from all presence of the evil one and his minions,
and may this place become instead a haven for the nourishment of
body, soul, and spirit. Help us be grateful for all your mercies, Lord,
and mindful of the needs of others. May your abiding presence rest
upon this room and this table, and may your blessing be upon all those
who gather here to share in the abundance of your goodness.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the bedroom:
BISHOP/PRIEST: Protect us, Lord, when we are awake, watch over us as we sleep;
that awake we may keep watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in
his peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, we claim this bedroom as a
haven of rest and command any evil spirits to leave this place and
never return.
We ask you, Lord, to bless this room and this bed, and to send your
holy angels to guard it and protect those who sleep here from every
attack of Satan or his emissaries. Holy Spirit, we ask you to fill this
place, and minister to the hearts of those who abide here, bringing
comfort, peace and rest as they sleep.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the bathroom:
BISHOP/PRIEST: Blessed are you, Lord of heaven and earth. You formed us in
wisdom and love. Refresh us in body and in spirit, and keep us in good
health that we might serve you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we bind all
unclean spirits and banish them forever to the foot of His cross. Now,
sanctify this room, O Lord, for your purposes, and for your loving care
of those who live here.
May their hearts be drawn to you in hopeful expectation as they
prepare for each new day, in peace and comfort as they ready
themselves for sleep, and always in an awareness of your interest and
concern in even the smallest details of their lives. Thank you, Lord, for
your unconditional love.
Grant this through Christ our Lord
All: Amen.

In a child's bedroom:
BISHOP/PRIEST: Watch over the child who sleeps here, dear Lord, bless and
guide him/her wherever he/she may be. Lord, we ask your blessing on
this room and this bed, and pray that you set them aside as a place of
spiritual safety. Send your warrior angels to surround this child and this
room whenever he/she sleeps. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus
Christ, we bind this child to the will and purpose of God and we loose
him/her from every attempt of the evil one to influence any part of
his/her life. We ask, Lord, that you cover this child with the blood of
Christ, seal him/her with the cross of Christ, and surround him/her with
the light of Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, we renounce any claim
to this room (and/or this child) by Satan, based on anything from the
history of this room (and/or this child) and we command all evil spirits
to leave this place and never to return. The enemy no longer has any
place here, and cannot come near. Holy Spirit please come and fill this
room. Reveal yourself to this child in his/her dreams, and draw him/her
near to you, that he/she may receive your presence, guidance and
strength all the days of his/her life.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

In the office or study:

BISHOP/PRIEST: O Lord, we thank you that you are the God of truth and light.
We bind all who use this room to your truth and loose them from all
lies and deceptions of the enemy. May your Holy Spirit come and fill
this place, that all business transacted here may be to your glory, and
all study would lead to a deeper understanding of the truth and a more
committed obedience of your law.
Grant this through Christ our Lord
All: Amen.

In the workroom:
BISHOP/PRIEST: Heavenly Father, you created us in your image and gave us
purpose. We claim this workroom for those purposes, Lord, and for
your glory, and in the name of your Son Jesus Christ we command
every evil spirit to leave and never return. As we work at the tasks
you've placed before us, let all that is done be for you, Lord, and may
your plan for our lives be realized and fulfilled. May those who work
here lack nothing and receive abundantly from your hand.
Grant this through Christ our Lord
All: Amen.

In the storage room or garage:

BISHOP/PRIEST: Almighty and merciful God, who sees with kindness our need
for material sustenance, we ask you to bless this space, that what your
mercy has kindly provided will not be lost through human weakness or
the ways of the enemy. In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we
renounce the enemy and command every evil spirit to be bound and
sent to the foot of the cross. Lord, we ask you to come and fill this
space with your presence, that all that is contained herein may be
sustained by your mercy and used to glorify your holy name.
Grant this through Christ our Lord
All: Amen.

All return to the starting place.

A cross, if one is being used, may be kissed by each person, and then put in a
permanent place of honor.

BISHOP/PRIEST: The Lord be with you.

All: And also with you.

BISHOP/PRIEST: Let us pray.

All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

BISHOP/PRIEST: Pour your blessing upon this house, Lord, and make it a place
set apart for You. In your mercy, Lord, place your warrior angels as a
hedge of protection to guard and defend all in this house. Indwell this
house, Holy Spirit, that all who enter and dwell here may be drawn
closer in knowledge, faith and love to You, the Father and our Lord
Jesus Christ. May You bless and sanctify this tabernacle of Your
servants and grant them the riches of Your Kingdom of heaven. In
Jesus' name.
All: Amen.

BISHOP/PRIEST: Be our shelter, Lord, when we are at home, our companion

when we are away, and our welcome guest when we return. And at last
receive us into the dwelling place you have prepared for us in your
Father's house, where you live for ever and ever.
All: Amen.
BISHOP/PRIEST: Almighty God, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, cleanse
us from any defilement. Keep all of us safe from the evil one and all his
minions, and release us in safety to return to our own homes and
families safe from any retribution of the enemy as a result of this day.
Fill us with your Holy Spirit that we may ever serve you and please you
according to your holy will.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.

All make the sign of the cross as the leader concludes with the prayer of blessing:
BISHOP/PRIEST: May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, and may the word
of Christ in all its richness dwell in us, so that whatever we do in word
and in work, we will do in the name of the Lord.
All: Amen.

The blessing may conclude with a song such as the following traditional Doxology.
All: Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly hosts:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
