Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada Campus is first established on 16th July
1946 as College of Engineering, Vizagapatam at Kakinada by the Government of Madras State.
Later in the Year 1972, it has become an important constituent unit of Jawaharlal Nehru
Technological University, Hyderabad which is established as the first Technology University in
the Country after the name of first Prime Minister of India, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru. It has
become a separate University in August 2008 by Government of Andhra Pradesh. Over the

JNTUK, Kakinada has signed MOA with M/s Avantel, for Two years Collaborating Sponsored
Program M. Tech in Signal Processing and Communications. A Centre of Excellence (CoE) with
necessary infrastructure for this course will be established at JNTUK by Avantel. Avantel will
depute two Laboratory Assistants and one co-ordinating Avantel Chair Professor sponsored by
Avantel.
Eligibility and Process of Selection:
B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (or) equivalent with a
valid GATE/PGCET score.
Selection of candidates will be done by giving weightage of 60% to GATE/PGECET
and 40% weightage to interview performance.
The interview will be conducted jointly with experts from JNTUK and Avantel.
Admitted students should accept the terms and conditions of both Avantel and
JNTUK for internship and thereafter employment offer as per HR policy of
Avantel.
