The Ugly Duckling

On a small farm, a mother duck sat on her eggs, waiting for them to hatch. When they finally cracked
open, most of the ducklings were cute and fluffy. But one egg hatched a much larger, grey duckling. This
duckling didn’t look like the others. The other animals on the farm began to make fun of it, calling it
"ugly."

The poor duckling tried to fit in, but the other animals always made fun of it. Even its own brothers and
sisters didn’t want to play with it. Feeling sad and lonely, the ugly duckling decided to leave the farm. It
wandered through the fields and forests, searching for a place where it could belong.

After many months, the ugly duckling grew bigger and stronger. One day, it saw a group of beautiful
swans swimming in a pond. When the duckling looked into the water, it saw its reflection. To its surprise,
it had turned into a beautiful swan. The swans welcomed it, and the ugly duckling finally felt happy.

The once-ugly duckling now felt proud and confident. It realized that all along, it had been a swan. It had
just needed time to grow and find its true place in the world. The other animals on the farm, who had
once laughed at it, would never understand the beauty it had become.
