EXTERNAL ADVERT: BURSARY
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the
development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold
project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral
deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art
underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to
develop this “mine of the future”.
BURSARY APPLICATION (REF: IVP-HRD-2502)
Candidates are required to submit the following documents
Proof of acceptance letter from the SA recognised University
South African ID
Applicants must have completed at least their Grade 12 and in their first

or further years of study at any recognized South African University.
Must reside around recognized mining communities
The Programme will cover qualification/ speciality of any technical/
non- technical applicable to the positions relevant to Ivanplats Mine
within the following departments.
· Mining
· Engineering
· Mine Survey
· Environmental
· Geology
Duration and Conditions:
· The Successful candidates will be enrolled in a bursar programme
for a maximum of 4 years for undergraduate qualification.
· Candidates must be prepared to work underground and on
surface, in all mining operations for Mining related qualifications.
· Must pass the relevant medical fitness examination.
The following must be attached to all applications:
· CV and certified copies of qualifications/ Grade 12 Final results/
academic records,
· SA Identity document.
· Letter from the tribal Authority/ward councillor where you reside
confirming your residence.

Africans (HDSA) from local communities surrounding Ivanplats Platreef
mine to further their studies.
