Hominid Migration

Australopithecines: The australopithecines were found in the Eastern Africa. According to

the place archeologists found the fossils, they migrate from Chemeron to Hadar, Ethiopia,
and Laetoli, Tanzania. They lived in the forest, that’s why they had strong arms with
curved fingers adapted for climbing trees.
Homo erectus: Some people had the theory that Homo sapiens arose in Africa, but others
say they arose in the southern of Asia. Nevertheless, most people support the Africa
theory, they will migrate to Java, arriving to Asia. The Asia theory says that Homo erectus
arose from Zhoukoudian, China, moving to Koobi-Fora, Africa. They lived in a rocky area,
with animals like elephants, tigers or bears and the climate was much warmer than now.
Homo neanderthalensis: The Homo neanderthalensis was found on Europe and in parts
of western and central Asia, they moved to Saldanha and Teshik-Tash arriving to
Swanscombe in the United Kingdom. Its name comes from the spelling of the Neander
Valley in Germany. They lived in a warmer biodiversity, with trees and shrubs, because all
the rest of the continent was frozen.
Early modern Homo sapiens: The Homo sapiens had to leave Africa because of the great
climate changes in there. They went to the north of Africa to Asia, crossing the Bering
Strait and arriving to North America and later to South America. The weather was too cold
and it has glaciers that did not allow the homo sapiens to cross.
