Sauvage Eau de Parfum by Dior is a Oriental Fougere

fragrance for men. Sauvage Eau de Parfum was
launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is
François Demachy. Top note is Bergamot; middle notes
are Sichuan Pepper, Lavender, Star Anise and Nutmeg;
base notes are Ambroxan and Vanilla.

In 2018, Dior introduces the new edition of Dior Sauvage, originally
launched in 2015, in an Eau de Parfum interpretation. Dior‘s in-house
perfumer François Demachy imagines the Eau de Parfum as revealing
new facets of Sauvage. The composition with oriental and vanilla
facets is described as enveloping, suave, mysterious and sensual.

he composition keeps some of the notes from the original, like

bergamot, Sichuan pepper, lavender and ambroxan and enriches
them with spices and warm, oriental tones of star anise, nutmeg and
papua vanilla.

The new ad campaign also features actor Johnny Depp as the face.
The fragrance is available as a 60 and a 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I was already a big fan of Sauvage Elixir

before finally getting this one. I do like it - I
would describe it as clean with occasional
whiffs of sharp. In comparison, Elixir is just
much spicier and potent while EDP is
comparatively smooth and subtle. In
comparison to Bleu de Chanel EDP,
Sauvage has more of that sharp edge to it
while BdC is more fresh/clean. I do like this,
but honestly I'm wishing it projected a little
more.

Well this isn't really groundbreaking in

terms of scent and is in the same category
as Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme. Pour
Homme definitely smells a lot better and I
think anyone would agree with this.
However this one's longevity is very
extremely high while Pour Homme only
lasts 3 hours. Other than that there's
chemical smell which I really don't like in
this and it turns out it's the Ambroxan.

Though it gets a lot of hate because of its

commonality, it became so popular for a
reason. It's a timeless fragrance with
versatility and fantastic performance,
including longevity and projection. It is
grossly over-hated and especially for
people first beginning to purchase
fragrances, it's a great option. It has a clear
and distinctive smell that can't be replaced
by any other fragrance. Even though it's a
bit overused, I would still give it a rating of
8.5/10. For a new fragrance collector with
the primary goal of wanting to smell better,
who doesn't particularly care about having
a unique fragrance, I would definitely
recommend it.

Writing a re-review, as I've had this for a

year now, and I just ordered my next bottle,
as I'm approaching the 3/4 mark on my
first.

So many people say this is like a SUPER

common smell. Idk. I disagree. I don't ever
smell this on anyone but me, and another
guy I work with. I've smelled stuff like ADG,
and JPG frags WAY more than I've ever
encountered this. I will also admit, this is
my signature scent along with the Elixir...
Everytime I wear it, it just feels like "me",
giving me confidence and making me feel
like I can take on the world. Of the 43 frags
in my collection, only a select few grab my
attention like this. I almost always find a
day of the week to get a wearing of this
stuff in, and every time it feels perfect.

The scent itself for me is best described as

a somewhat classic, somewhat
barbershop, mixed into a very modern and
mysterious vat of amazing. It opens up with
a definite citrus mixed with a nice touch of
the pepper pretty quick. Very quick the
ambroxen starts SMASHING in, giving it the
mysteriousness mixing with the other
notes. I truly have no real way to describe
the way this smells. I can't really even pick
out individual notes, other than the opening
citrus and the pepper a bit. I've kinda
described this, as a very incredibly modern
version of the kind of fresh musky stuff my
grandfather wore when i was a kid. Which
sadly I don't know what that is/was. It's like
they took that, and gave it this really nice
mystique and I love it so much.

Longevity is godly, I get relatively strong

sillage for around 10 hours or so, then
going slowly to a skin scent, where it
ALWAYS has lasted until I've showered the
next day after. One of my best performers,
compliment getters, and just overall one of
my best in general. It is definitely best in
Spring/Summer/Fall, but I've worn it in
Winter all the same.

Not once have I sprayed this on myself

(mainly from afar), without it being noticed.
It has excellent projection and smells
fantastic. The only downside for me is its
poor longevity. However, I believe this is
due to the balance between projection and
staying power—since its projection is
strong, the longevity is weaker.

I have no clue why people like this

fragrance as it just smells like strong
overpowering soap!
Only during the dry down do I get any good
smell out of it which is the star anise.
I don't recommend at all!

Sauvage EDP is the ultimate CHAD

fragrance. It is the multi tool you brought
from your deployment: rugged, sturdy, long
lasting, smells like steel, and morale lifting.
It is the skibidy rizz, looks maxxing, edge
gooning, son of a gun!!! Overall, this version
enhances the original Sauvage DNA and is
the MOST refined and strongest out of the
modern Sauvage line. Imagine, if the
original Sauvage decided to get ripped in
the gym and get a face lift of Paul Allen
===> this is it.

Overall 100/10
Smells so damn good!
Don't listen to haters! The only people who
wear this are chads. If you're a chad you're
gonna hear your gamer girl moaning,
"mmm... you smell so good!" while biting
her lower lip with anticipation at the juicy
smell and sinking her teeth into YOU!

Bleu or Sauvage, both edp is just dayly

nothing.
Very boring and synthetic.
If you have more than 5 or 10 th perfumes,
those not screem or be lovest, best, most
used.
Just simple dayly perfume, lasting 2-3
hours.
For days when nothing hapening.
From all sauvage line elixir is best smelling,
way more premium than edp.

I've tried to like this. After a few minutes it

starts to wear on me and gives me a
headache. The scent sometimes smells a
little lighter and sweeter after drying down
but usually is so sharp it is pungent. I think
it is the lacquer thinner, soap and black
pepper tones competing with each other.
I've been told by my wife that it was
obnoxiously loud and brash, like someone
begging for attention. I threw it away.

This smells clean, citrusy, and peppery with

amber. You also get some hint of vanilla
towards the end. I love the bottle and the
sprayer. This is simple, non offensive, and
crowd pleasing. It smells good, projects
well and lasts over 8 hours. I feel it’s
overpriced IMO and this can become
boring. This is versatile though, for going
out and dressing up. To sum up, Jack of all
trades.

Most definitely over hated. This is a clean,

mass appealing, well balanced, and strong
scent that you can wear literally any day
and any time. Don't let people on tik tok
groupthink you into believing this stuff is
bad, cus its not. Also, the idea that women
hate this fragrance is pure myth, I get told
by women nearly every time I wear sauvage
that it smells awesome; its not this popular
for nothing.

By virtue of its versatility, balance,

performance, and price point, I'm giving it a
10/10.
