Note that on the page, your digital locker will default to ‘Simple View’ or ‘Advanced View’
When you select the link to the Dell Digital Locker site, you must log in using the email address depending on your previous session or based on number of products in your locker. You can

from the PAC codes provided on the Digital Locker:

2 on the VMware Portal
There are two possibilities:
• If you already have VMware licences you can log in on the My VMware portal using your
usual account and password.
• If you have never purchased VMware licences you will need to create a Customer Account,
which will allow you to log in and manage your licences on the My VMware portal.
Once logged-in, you will be able to transform the PAC code(s) provided on the Dell Digital Locker
into VMware serial numbers.
IMPORTANT
Registration on the VMware Portal must always be made for the end-customer, the owner
of the purchased licences. In cases where a third-party manages the licences, the actual
end-customer should redeem the PAC provided by Dell EMC to avoid a Support Contract
ownership mismatch.

Step 2.2
Enter the PACs previously provided in the Dell Digital Locker (Step 1.2).
In some cases, several PACs can appear. This is the case, for example, when you are acquiring
two vSphere licences for a dual-processor server. Once the two PACs are transformed into
VMware serial numbers, you will be able to combine them into a single licence from your
My VMware account (see useful links at the end of this document).
After entering the codes, you will receive a confirmation from VMware:

ii. Technical support
After licence activation, technical support for VMware OEM solutions is provided by Dell
ProSupport. In order to validate your access you must have a Service Tag:
• If the VMware OEM licence is acquired with hardware, you should use the hardware
Service Tag.
• If the VMware OEM licence is acquired without hardware (a standalone licence), a Service
Tag is displayed in the Dell Digital Locker tool.
(When contacting support you can use the Entitlement Id fields.)
The Entitlement Id field is next to the date of the invoice that appears on the Service Tag,
which is the start date of the Dell Technical Support for OEM VMware Licences, regardless of
whether licences are acquired with Dell hardware. If, following a temporary problem with delivery,
a customer has installed an evaluation licence, when opening the request for assistance the
customer should provide Dell Technical Support with the Dell order number.
