Diploma Supplement
This Diploma Supplement model was developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. The purpose of the
supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve the international ‘transparency’ and fair academic and professional recognition of
qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates etc.). It is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the
studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which this supplement is appended.
It should be free from any value judgements, equivalence statements or suggestions about recognition. Information in all eight sections should be
provided. Where information is not provided, an explanation should give the reason why.

4.2 Programme learning outcomes

Aims are to provide students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge base, professional
awareness, critical faculty, interpretative and communicative skills and ethical responsibility
expected of informed professionals working within specialist.
To do this, learning outcomes encompass a wide range of knowledge and skills that
graduates are expected to possess upon completing the program:
Technical skills: Students acquire a detailed understanding of the basics of electrical
engineering. This includes knowledge in the areas of mathematics, physics, electrical
circuits, signal processing, electronics, electromagnetism, information technology and
control technology and learn how to use these in automation technology.
Methodological skills: Graduates are able to use engineering methods and tools to solve
problems. This includes the ability to analyze complex electrical engineering problems,
critically evaluate them and develop innovative solutions. Courses such as methods of
scientific work, the key skills seminar or the project seminar support students in this.
Practical skills: The Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering teaches students practical
skills so that they can, for example, design electronic circuits and programs, create
prototypes, analyze electrical systems, carry out experiments and measurements.
Social skills, teamwork and communication: Through seminars, study groups, group
work in laboratories, internships in companies, etc. students learn to work in international
and multidisciplinary teams and to communicate their ideas and results. Elective modules
and the key skills seminar make it possible to learn non-technical content, e.g. foreign
languages, business administration, psychology, etc.
Subject-specific application areas: During the main study students can specialize on
one of three areas of focus. In the chosen focus, students learn how to apply the
knowledge they have acquired either in the field of energy technology and renewable
energies, electromobility and autonomous driving, or automation and Industrial Internet of
Things. Elective modules also provide insights into non-selected focus areas.
Independence and ability to learn: The course enables students to learn independently
and to continuously develop themselves in order to be able to follow technological
progress in electrical engineering. This is applied and practiced in particular in projects and
final theses.
