Employees’ State Insurance Corporation which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act,
1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, invites

Age Limit :-
01. For Teaching Faculty: Not exceeding 69 years on date of Document verification & Interview.
02. For Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of Document verification & Interview.
PAY & ALLOWANCES :-
The consolidated remuneration will be paid as under:-
Post Pay
Professor Rs. 2,11,878/-
Associate Professor Rs. 1,40,894/-
Assistant Professor Rs. 1,21,408/-
Senior Resident Basic Pay Rs.67,700/- in Level 11 and other allowances
(NPA, DA, HRA, TA) as per 7th CPC and ESIC Hqrs instructions.
ESIC has adopted consolidated Remuneration structure for Teaching Faculty as per ESIC Headquarters OM No. F No.
Z-17/11/1/2007/Med.IV(Pt. File) dated 13.04.2022 & OM F No- Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022.
Qualification & Experience: As per NMC guidelines as stipulated in Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-

Accordingly, all eligible Medical candidates with requisite qualification and experience can apply for the
appropriate faculty/ Senior Resident posts in broad specialties.
Non Medical Candidates may also apply. Index of Broad Specialties in which Persons with Non-Medical
Qualifications may be Appointed as Faculty (Assistant Professor and beyond) is given below:

*The academic qualification, teaching and research experience will be as per latest guidelines of NMC.
Terms of Contract/ Tenure :-
1. Teaching Faculty:
The initial period of contract of teaching faculty will be for 3 (Three) years at the outset, which may be further
extended upto 2 (Two) years on yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance. The maximum tenure of
engagement/contract will be 5 (Five) years or attaining 70 years of age or joining of regular faculty, whichever
is earlier.
2. Senior Resident:
The period of contract is for a period of 03 (three) years subject to renewal / extension every year, which is
also subject to satisfactory performance / service. For Academic Senior Resident

General instructions:
1. The recruitments will be purely on contractual basis and selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of
the service in the hospital.
2. Private practices of any kind will not be allowed for full time contractual engagements.
3. ESI Corporation may increase or decrease or cancel filling up of any or all the post without assigning any reasons
at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
5. Canvassing in any form shall be disqualification.
6. Hostel accommodation/ quarters will not be provided.
7. The candidate who is in service should submit “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of
interview.
8. The posts are contractual and the contractual engagement may be terminated/ discontinued by either side giving
one month prior notice to this effect without assigning any reason.
9. The decision of the Selection Board will be final on all aspects of selection and no further correspondence will be
entertained under any circumstances.
10. In case of non-availability of the candidates of appropriate category, candidates from other category can be
considered for appointment on contractual basis for period of less than 45 days against reserved posts for SC, ST &
OBC as per order No.36036/3/2018 Estt. (Res.) dated 15.05.2018 of Govt. of India. The contract will be renewable with
further advertisement in absence of reserved candidates.
11. The Selection is subject to the candidates proving their medical fitness.
12. In case of selection, OFFER OF APPOINTMENT will be issued as per requirement.
13. The selected candidates will have to furnish a DD/Bankers Cheque for an amount of Rs. 30,000/-(Rupees Thirty
Thousand only) drawn in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1” payable at Guwahati, towards security deposit.
14. If the selected candidate resigns/terminates his/her contract within 09 months of commencement of the contract
with or without prior notice, the amount of Rs. 30,000/- deposited as security money will be forfeited.
15. No Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
16.Retired candidates from Central/ State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working
in recognized/ approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply.
17. Certain specialties like Statistics, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology for which non-medical teaching faculties
may be hired, the engagement will be at same rates as for medical teaching faculty except that their consolidated
remuneration will be arrived after reducing the element of NPA.
a) Candidates with eligibility for a higher post, i.e. Professor/ Associate Professor, would be permitted to be
interviewed against a lower post, i.e. Associate/ Assistant Professor.
b) In event of selection of such candidates, the candidate would be considered for placement with suitable
upgradation of the lower post as per eligibility; and recommendation of the selection board.
All eligible and interested candidates may appear for walk-in-interview along with all the testimonials in original and
their one self-attested copy as per schedule of “Walk-in-interview” on the date & time mentioned against their respective

Documents Required:-
1. Age Proof (Class 10th certificate/Birth certificate)
2. MBBS Certificate.
3. PG Degree/ Diploma Certificate.
4. MCI/SMC Registration Certificate with MD/MS/DNB qualification.
5. M.Sc Certificate (For Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Statistics) with PhD degree (if required).
6. BCME & BCBR Certificate wherever necessary.
7. Two Recent Passport size Photographs.
8. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC & I&A Certificate for EWS candidates. OBC candidates are required to submit
latest OBC Certificate as per Central Govt. Proforma, not more than One year old from the date of interview. No
relaxation/reservation would be applicable to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidate applying for unreserved
vacancies). Persons with Disability have to submit PWD Certificate for getting reservation as per GoI rules.
7. No Objection Certificate from present employer, if applicable. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the
interview without NOC from his employer (Also applicable for Doctors under Bond).

Candidates for teaching faculties of outstation may appear the interview in online mode. However, Senior Residents
are not allowed to appear Online. The meeting code will be shared on the day of interview.
Reporting Time for Document verification: 09:00 am to 09:30 am.
#Candidates, whose documents are verified only will be allowed to attend WALK IN INTERVIEW.
