All SIREMOBIL ISO-C systems, delivered or upgraded with the Option 3D Reconstruc-
tion.

Reason for the Update 1

Improvement of the software, Bugfix MEMOSKOP 3D selection.

Prerequisites 1

NOTE This Service Instruction SP034/03/R replaces the withdrawn Ser-

vice Instruction SP029/03/R.
If the work, described in the withdrawn Service Instruction
SP029/03/R has not been performed for the existing system, do
not install it. Perform the work steps of this SI SP034/03/R.
If the work, described in the withdrawn Service Instruction
SP029/03/R were performed for the existing system, all work
steps, described in this SI have to be performed.

NOTE After the 3D reconstruction software was reloaded, the MSBLAST

Hotfix installation must be performed again.
Use the SI SP023/03/R and install the Hotfix.
Because the 3D reconstruction software is new installed, the
section "Checking for Virus / Worm" (page 4 of the SI SP023/03/R)
can be skipped.

The following update kit has to be ordered from CSML (SAP Distribution Channel, factory
2050) or BU Logistics (factory BU) (only with an order via BU Logistics):

Contents of the Update Kit 1

NOTE The Service Instructions SP034/03/R replaces the withdrawn Ser-

vice Instructions SP029/03/R.
The new Update Kits 71 40 978 includes the MEMOSKOP C-3D
and MEMOSKOP C-SUB-3D software version VC01H and two 3D
Software versions for the 3D reconstructions PC Celsius 650 and
Celsius 444.
The MEMOSKOP SW version VB00D works in combination with
both types of 3D PC (Celsius 650 and Celsius 444).

The update kit 71 40 978 contains the following parts:

menu header.

¹ The following window appears:

• In the “Command” selection menu, select “Backup”.

• For “Drives”, select the CD-R storage medium.
• The corresponding package is selected in “Packages”.
Select the Package "SW Settings02" and save with "GO".
• Exit the window with “Home”.
• Remove the backup CD-ROM from the CD-R drive.

NOTE A backup of the database (patient images) does not function!

Only the following is possible:

Prerequisites 2

NOTE Please pay attention to the service PC settings.

- Do not use the incompatible service PC "SCENIC MOBILE 350".

Before starting with the software updates, please observe the points mentioned below:
- The used serial interface cable must be fully wired between SIREMOBIL Iso-C and the
service PC.
- Switch off the screen saver and end any programs running in the background.
- Check the jumpers D1.X95 / D1.X96 / D1.X 99. These should be set to position 2-3.
- Check the serial port FIFO settings of your service PC. The FIFO of the serial port must
be enabled (default settings).
- In the case of correct host communication, but poor MEMOSKOP communication,
temporarily switch D1.S3.2 to position ON. Ignore the error messages displayed at the
SIREMOBIL user console. Ignore the MEMOSKOP service software error message
"No communication with the X-ray system" and close Error message by clicking the
"Ignore" button. Select the correct type of MEMOSKOP and start the necessary
service work. After completion of the MEMOSKOP service work, switch D1.S3.2 back
to OFF.

software).

Saving the MEMOSKOP parameters to diskette 2

NOTE Please pay attention to the prerequisites.

NOTE Before starting the download of the MEMOSKOP, save the para-
meters to diskette. In the case of transfer problems, saving them,
read the prerequisites .
Follow the flow chart in section "Flow Chart MEMOSKOP soft-
ware update".
If the parameter set can’t be stored on the diskette, read out the
MEMOSKOP parameters (User setup and Technical setup) and
note them manually.

NOTE If a transfer error or error messages with "ComPort", "Download",

"Get from Memoskop", "Put to Memoskop" and when loading the
language file still occur, please repeat this function several times.
If the problem persists, then exit the service software.
Switch SIREMOBIL off and then on again, wait for power-up and
start the service software again. Perform the last work step again.

NOTE Before using the host service software or MEMOSKOP service

software, the write protection of the corresponding parameter
diskettes have to be switched off

• Insert the MEMOSKOP diskette "User Programs" into the service PC, drive A.
• Start the MEMOSKOP service software.
• Enter the password and press the Return key on the service PC.
• Select the required serial interface on the service PC.

• The program window "Memoskop Service Program" (Fig. 3) is then displayed.

• After the main menu appears, click on the "Get from Memoskop" button and wait until the
parameters have been transferred from the MEMOSKOP to the PC. After the transfer,
the status line shows "....Receiving configuration done"
• Then save the parameters to the diskette (menu "File", submenu "Save").
• For the file name, enter the actual date. The file extension should be "mem".
Example:
The current date is: (DD_MM_YY) 24_12_03
Enter the file name+file extension: 24_12_03.mem
• Wait for the parameters to be saved on diskette.

NOTE If errors occur during the transfer of the MEMOSKOP parameters

to the service PC (e.g. communication errors), read the prerequi-
sites.

NOTE If the MEMOSKOP service program must be started again, the

unit must also be switched off and on again.

• If the storage of the MEMOSKOP parameter set to diskette is not possible, all para-
meters (User setup and technical setup) must be read and noted manually.

NOTICE If errors occur during download of the MEMOSKOP software

(e.g. communication errors) read the prerequisites.
In this case, stop the download procedure and try download as
described in section "Download MEMOSKOP with empty Flash
Proms" if needed again.

• For the MEMOSKOP displayed insert the corresponding diskette supplied into drive A of
the service PC (MEMOSKOP software).
• Select the "Download" menu.
• Select "Select file for Download:".
• The program window "Open File" opens.
• Select drive A.
• Select the file xVC0xxx.mot and confirm the selection with "OK".

(first x = 3 or 4, depending on existing MEMOSKOP. See note below.)

• Select "Erase FLASHes" .
¹ While the Flash Proms are being erased, dots will be displayed in the status line.
¹ After erasing, the "...Ready" message will be displayed in the status line.
¹ The DOWNLOAD button is now selectable.

NOTE The "Download File" button must be pressed (clicked) within

120 seconds maximum!

• Select "Download File" .

NOTE It will take approximately 20 minutes to load the new

MEMOSKOP software.

• After successful completion of the Download, the "Download complete" message will be
displayed in the status line.

NOTE If the Download is not performed completely (communication

errors or undefined symbols in the status line), stop the down-
load procedure and follow the description in section "Download
MEMOSKOP with empty Flash Proms".

• Exit the Service program.

• Switch the unit off .

Download MEMOSKOP with empty Flash Proms 2

NOTE This section describes the downloading procedure for the

MEMOSKOP with empty Flash Proms. If downloading as
described in the previous section could be carried out success-
fully, skip this section.

• Switch the unit off and exit the Memoskop service program.
• The cover of the basic unit and the rear cover of the monitor trolley are removed.
• Set the service switch D1.S3.2 to the ON position.
• Switch on the unit. Ignore the error messages displayed at the user console.
• Insert the corresponding diskette supplied into drive A of the service PC (MEMOSKOP
software ).
• Start the MEMOSKOP service program and enter the password.
• Select the service PC serial interface.
• Ignore the message "No communication with the X-Ray system by clicking the "Ignore"
button.
• For the error message "The Program didn’t receive the version message from the
MEMOSKOP", manually select the MEMOSKOP model.

(first x =3 or 4, depending on existing MEMOSKOP. See below.)

• Select "Erase FLASHes" .

• Press the reset button on the back of the MEMOSKOP for 4 seconds as soon as
possible.
¹ While the Flash Proms are being erased, dots are displayed in the status line.
¹ After erasing, the "...Ready" message is displayed in the status line.
¹ The DOWNLOAD button is now selectable.

NOTE The "Download File" button must be pressed (clicked) within

120 seconds maximum!

• Select "Download File" .

NOTE It will take approximately 20 minutes to load the new

MEMOSKOP software.

• After successful completion of the download, the "Download complete" message is

displayed in the status line.
• Wait until the MEMOSKOP has rebooted.
• Exit the Service program.
• Switch off the unit.
• Switch the service switch D1.S3.2 back to the OFF position.
• Switch the unit on (wait for entire power-up sequence) .

NOTE If the download is not performed completely (communication

errors or undefined symbols in the status line), read the pre-
requisites.
Stop the download procedure, end the Memoskop service pro-
gram, switch off the unit and repeat the download procedure as
described in section "Download with empty Flash Proms".

Installing the SIREMOBIL Iso-C 3D Software 2

• The SIREMOBIL Iso-C is still running.

• With 3D reconstructions PC Celsius 650, part no. 71 29 013,
insert the CD with part no.71 39 814 ("3D Software") into the CD-R drive.
• With 3D reconstructions PC Celsius 444, part no. 77 14 145,
insert the CD with part no. 75 38 999 ("3D Software") into the CD-R drive.
• Shut down the SIREMOBIL Iso-C and wait until power is off.
Video switch 1 button

"Memoskop SCSI Adapter"

"power plug"

• Disconnect the "Memoskop SCSI Adapter" plug from the PC.

• Disconnect the "power plug" from the MEMOSKOP.
• Release the video switch 1 button (to the left as viewed from the back of the monitor),
the switch should not be pressed.

• Disconnect the "DICOM Network Plug" from the 3D PC.

• Connect the Dongle, if not already connected.
• Restart the SIREMOBIL Iso-C.
¹ The PC will start automatically. The start-up can be viewed on the right monitor.
¹ After approx. 15 minutes, the following message will appear on the monitor.

= Installation complete …===========================

|| System and image partition were set up.||
|| Please make sure there is no disk in the floppy drive||
|| (Press any key to reboot the system now)||
|| IMPORTANT : While the system is rebooting, eject||
|| the CD-ROM and remove it from the drive !||
===============================================
• Press the space key and remove the CD. The 3D PC will reboot.
• Wait till the PC bios messages are visible at the monitor, open the CD-ROM drive and
remove the CD-ROM.

• Wait until the following screen appears.
Ignore the message concerning monitor settings.

• Enter the 3D PC name.

• Press the "Enter" key 2x.
¹ The computer will shut down and restart automatically.
The Internet Explorer will start; the following screen will appear

• Select the “Backup & Restore” button in the Service Home menu.
• Insert the BACKUP CD-ROM into the CD-R drive.

• Select "Restore" in the “Command” list box.

• Select "CD-R" in the "Drives" lsit box.
• Select the correct (latest) "SW Settings02" backup file in "Archives".
• Mark all files in "Groups" i.e. (with Ctrl + left mouse button).
• The restore routine is started by clicking on the "Go" button.
¹ Wait until the "Ready" message appears in the footer. This will take a few
minutes.
• Exit the window with “Home”.
• The PC initiates a restart automatically or you must restart it manually.
• Remove the backup CD-ROM from the CD-R drive when the system has shut down.

NOTE After exiting the program, the Windows task bar is closed auto-
matically. To display the task bar again, press the key combina-
tion "CTRL" + "ESC".
The "Matrox Display Properties" program is closed automatically
after each setting and selection of the OK button. The program
must be restarted for the next settings (Start - Programs - Matrox
Power desk NT - Matrox Display Properties).

• Press the "CTRL" + "ESC" keys simultaneously.

• Click "Enter".
¹ The WINDOWS task bar will appear.
• Select "Start".
• Select "Programs".
• Select "Matrox Power Desk NT".
• Select "Matrox Display Properties".
(If it is not displayed in front, move the other displayed window(s) to the side.)

• Select the "Monitor" button.

• Select "Matrox Monitor".
• In the selection window, select "Siemens" by double-clicking.

• Connect the MEMOSKOP power plug.

• Connect the SCSI plug to the MEMOSKOP.
• Connect the DICOM Network connector at the 3D PC
• Press the video switch 1 button (to the left as viewed from the back of the monitor),
the button is now depressed and hit up.
• Switch on the SIREMOBIL Iso-C 3D.
¹ The MEMOSKOP image will appear on the right monitor.
• Wait approx. 2 - 3 minutes until the PC has rebooted.
• Press "CTRL" + "D" to display the PC image on the right monitor.

Control software * 2

NOTE Check the installed Control SW version (Syngo menu- "Help" -

"About")
If the Control SW version VB00B is installed, it is not more
needed, installing the Control SW VB00B again and you can skip
this section.

• The System is still running.

• In Syngo, select the menu "Help" / "About". Read the Control SW version. If the Contol
SW version VB00B is installed, skip this section. Continue with section "Manual
settings".
• In Syngo, start the local service (menu "Option" / "Local Service").
• Enter the password.
• Select the "Upgrade Ctr.SW" button.
• Insert the CD-ROM "Control Software VB00B" into the CD-R drive.
• Select the "CD-ROM" drive.
• Click on the "Go" button.
• Wait until the message "download successful" appears.
• Remove the CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive.
¹ The Reconstruction PC will shut down automatically.
• Switch off the SIREMOBIL Iso-C 3D.
• Restart the SIREMOBIL Iso-C 3D.

• Reinstall the MSBLAST worm blaster security update as described in the

Service Instructions SP023/03/R.

• Perform a final check. Check of the overall function of the system.

• Perform the Image Quality Quick Test (refer to the SIREMOBIL logbook).
• Perform the protective conductor test in accordance with ARTD - 002.731.17.
The protective conductor resistance must not exceed 0.2 ohms.
• File the update instructions in the System Binder or the System Logbook.
• Fill out, and if needed, copy the attached "Update Completion Form" and insert it into
Register 10 of the System Binder or System Logbook.
