ABSTRACT
HOMEAUTOMATIONUSINGNODEESP8266
The rapid advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies has revolution izedthe way we
interact withourhomeappliances.Thisproject presentsa low-cost andefficient homeautomation
system using the Node MCU ESP8266 microcontroller, which enables users to control electrical
appliances remotely via a smart phone or web interface. The system connects to a Wi-Fi network
and uses the ESP8266’s built-in capabilities to communicate with a cloud- based plat form or a
local web server. By integrating relay modules with theNode MCU, various home appliances such
as lights, fans, and other devices can be switched on or off through a user-friendly mobile
application or web browser. This project also emphasizes energy efficiency, user convenience, and
enhanced security, offering real-time feedback on device status. The implementation showcases
the flexibility and scalability of IoT in modern home environments. This system demonstrates
how automation, combined with wireless communication and microcontroller technology,
cancontribute to smart living and improved qualityoflife. The design is economical, easy to
implement, and adaptable for future expansions, such as voice control or sensor-based automation
