Additional Terms and Conditions


1. The recruitments are purely on contractual basis and selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of
the service in the hospital.
2. Selection Procedure:
a. The applications in the prescribed proforma of the candidates submitted on the day of walk-in interview will
be scrutinized by the authorized officer/ scrutiny committee of the Hospital and only the eligible Candidates
will be allowed to appear for walk-in interview before the selection committee. In case, the numbers of
applicants are large, the selection committee of the Hospital may at its discretion, devise criteria for short-
listing of the candidates which may include holding of a Screening Test.
b. The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection
Board.
c. The decision of the Recruiting Authority of the ESIC Hospital shall be final. No further correspondence shall
be made in this regard.

e. Selected candidates will have to join within 7 days from the date of issue of Offer of Appointment.

6. Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only (Annexure – A). The applications submitted in any
other format OR incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
7. The candidates may ascertain their eligibility and report for interview on the scheduled date and time for
interview. Candidates reporting after scheduled time will not be allowed to attend the interview process.
8. ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion without assigning any
reason and such decision will be binding on all concerned.
9. Opportunity for appearing in the interview given to the candidates is purely provisional. Joining of the candidates
will be subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility conditions/production of prescribed certificates in case of
reservation.
10. The selected Contractual doctor so engaged will be required to enter into a Contract Agreement containing Terms
and Conditions on a Non-judicial Stamp paper of Rs.500/- to be purchased by the candidate prior to joining.
11. All the selected candidates must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired
by ESIC. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of error and omission
committed by them while rendering professional service. The minimum sum assured should be Rs. 10 Lakhs for
General Medicine, Radiology, and Anesthesia, etc. and Rs. 20 Lakhs for Ophthalmology, ENT, Surgery, OBGY,
Orthopedics, Pediatrics, etc.
12. Private practice will not be allowed for Medical Officer, Senior Residents & Full Time Specialist /Super-specialist
on contract.
13. Interested candidates may appear for the Walk-in interview as per given schedule along with their original
documents & self-attested photocopies in support of their Date of Birth, Proof of Educational Qualification,
Experience Certificates, Caste Certificates as per Govt. of India formats, Non-Creamy Layer Certificates as per
Govt. of India format valid for the current year / latest in case of OBC, available on Net. The Candidates are
advised to appear for interview with duly filled ‘Annexure-A’ (Format Enclosed) one hour before Interview timing
mentioned against their specialty.
14. In case of selection, offer of appointment will be issued as per requirement of ESIC Hospital, at its discretion.
15. Candidates need to join duty within 07 days from the date of issue of offer of appointment.
16. The selection is subject to the candidates proving their medical fitness.
17. No accommodation facility is provided by ESIC for contractual engagements.
18. For Medical Officers, Senior Residents & Full Time Specialist /Super-specialist to be engaged on Contract: A
Security deposit of Rs.15,000/- by way of Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank & payable to “ESI Fund
A/c No. 1” at Pune has to be submitted at the time of joining by successful candidates which would be returned
without any interest, after the end of the tenure subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate. The same
shall be forfeited towards administrative expenses if the candidate resigns without notice or dereliction of duty
and other conditions unbecoming of an officer in this Government Hospital.
19. No TA/DA will be admissible either for walk in interview or joining the post.
20. The candidates appointed under PWD quota will be adjusted against the vacancy of respective categories of
SC/ST/OBC/UR.
21. The decision of the selection board will be final in all aspects of selection process and no further correspondence
will be entertained under any circumstances.
22. Candidates who have already worked as SR for 3 years after PG Degree/Diploma under central Residency
scheme in any govt. Organization are not eligible to apply for the post of Senior Residents on contract basis
under 3 Year Senior Residency Scheme.
23. Reservation and Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC /Ex-servicemen/PWD will be as per Central Government rules.
24. Candidates seeking reservation/Age relaxation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/PWD category must ensure that they
are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice and as per the instructions issued by
Govt. of India. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format of Govt. of India in
support of their claim. Candidates claiming reservation/ age relaxation under OBC Category should submit the
OBC Certificate prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personal and Training OM No. 36012/22/93-
Estt.(SCT) dated 15.11.93 along with Self Declaration failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will
not be given.
25. The candidates claiming reservation on grounds of belonging to OBC [non-creamy layer] should submit the
community certificate in Annexure “A” prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personnel and Training O.M
No. 36036/2/2013-Estt (Res) dated 30.05.2014 failing which the benefits of reservation will not be given and their
application shall be rejected and no request /correspondence will be entertained. Certificate issued in other
formats will not be accepted and the candidature will be treated as “General Category” for all purposes.
26. Although Some Posts are reserved for the categories like SC, ST, EWS and OBC, in case of non-availability of the
candidates of appropriate category, candidate from other category can be considered at the discretion of the
Hospital Authority for appointment on contractual basis for the period of 39 days which may further be extended
for another 39 days or till the joining of regular Medical Officer whichever is earlier.
27. The Service rendered by the Senior Residents (SRs) in the ESI Corporation shall be considered as bonded service in
Maharashtra State as per Maharashtra State Govt. decision No. MED/1013/Admn. No.101/13/Edu-2 dated
31.01.2014.
28. Contractual Doctors will be eligible for certain leaves in accordance with guidelines of ESIC.

29. No claim for any service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical allowances, Medical benefits, Seniority,
Promotion etc. will be admissible.
30. Candidate must be registered with National Medical Council/Medical Council of India/State Medical Council as
applicable, before joining the post.
31. Candidate in the Government Service should submit “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of
Interview.
32. The candidates who are already employed must produce relieving order from the previous employer at the time
of joining / NOC for taking up engagement with ESIC.
33. The Contractual doctor so selected will be required to submit acceptance/consent letter in writing before
appearing for medical examination.
34. The contractual doctors at any time found guilty of any gross misconduct or negligence of his/her duties shall be
terminated without any notice or payment in lieu of the notice period.
35. The absence from work for a period of fifteen days without proper permission of the competent authority will
amount to voluntary abandonment of engagement and automatic termination.
36. The Contractual Doctors are required to mark attendance manually as well as on Aadhaar Enabled Bio- metric
Attendance System (AEBAS) daily during scheduled working days/Time.
37. They will be required to attend emergency, floor duty and other clinical duty as assigned by the Competent
Authority.
38. They will also be required to perform duties in other departments as assigned by the competent authority, as and
when required.
39. If the selected candidate does not join within stipulated time or quits within 3 months of joining, appointment
may be offered to the waitlisted candidate at the sole discretion of the appointing authority. (Validity of Waiting
List shall be for 6 months only).
40. Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation
of the candidature at any stage in addition to suitable legal action.
41. Documents: The candidates are advised to bring their all Original Certificates with one set of self-attested
photocopies of the following during document verification on the date of walk-in Interview:
