Hedgehog Bus Token
Swap this with another first player token or
use with the Trump Map on page 8.

First Player Token Variant Rules

1. Play Direction Choice Variant
With this variant, the first player can decide
which way the players will play the sale.
Point the first player token clockwise or
anti-clockwise.
2. Alternating Draft Variant
For the second round in a game with
drafting, point the first player token to the
right. Draft and play anti-clockwise for the
entire round. Switch back to clockwise in
the next round.

3
Disaster Warnings
Alarms ring, and all the park merchants
go home, except for the desperate ones who
haven’t made any sales yet!

Twister, Flood, Pea Souper, Blizzard, Heatwave

Setup: You can add these 5 cards to any
game without increasing hand size.
Track if you won this round:
If you’re playing with People Edition rules,
choose a way to show if you won a card in the
current round or not. For example, when you
win a Sale, keep the new cards perpendicular
to the cards you won last round.
Gameplay: If you win a sale with a disaster
warning card, everyone who won a sale this
round discards the rest of their hand. You’re
included since you won this sale. If a player
hasn’t made any sales yet, they keep playing.
4
Disaster Warning Strategies
Defense: To safeguard against disaster
warnings, keep a wild or variety of lower
cards. Avoid winning only 1 or 2 low sales.
Caution: Be careful playing a disaster
warning card if others won a lot of points in
the round and you didn’t yet. Others might
want you to win to end the round early.
Fun: If another player plays a disaster
warning, consider letting them win the sale.
You could play off suit or a high-value card.
If you already won a lot of points this round
or are low on cards, you don’t have much to
lose by discarding your hand.
If you haven’t won a sale yet, you could
benefit more if others discard their hands,
especially if you’re playing with the JQK
cards from the Deluxe Hedgehog Edition.

5
Lightning and Fireworks
What’s that sound? Lightning breaks the
current sale! Fireworks excite everyone and
makes everyone win the sale! Surprise!

Lightning Fireworks
Setup: Add either or both of the cards to
the deck and deal them like normal cards.
Deck: All undealt cards become ‘the deck’.
If the deck is empty, shuffle the discarded
cards and create a new deck.
Follow: You can play one of these cards
in any sale instead of playing a value card.
Lead: If you lead with one of these, all suits
are considered on suit.
Not a win: You 'lose' the trick and discard
the Lightning or Firework card played. But...
First Player: If you played the Lightning
or Fireworks card you go first next sale.
6
Lightning: In the sale you play this, the
winner of this sale discards the card they
won with and draws a card from the deck.
All the losers discard as normal.
For 5-8 player games, all the winners discard
the card they won with and draw a new card.
Fireworks: In the sale you play this,
everyone else wins the sale. As normal, all
sale winners discard a card from their hand
for each Discard Icon on the card they won.
Strategy: Use Fireworks for chaos. Since
players sluff off cards they don’t want early in
the round, winning can be disruptive.
Use Lightning to break disaster warnings.
Use Fireworks to force others to discard
their hands by making a warning win!
Both: The winner of the sale discards the
card they played and draws a card. Everyone
else wins the card they played. Whoever
played the Lightning or Fireworks card last
goes first next sale.

7
Trump Map
The weather seems to linger longer than normal!
Rainy, Snowy, Wild

Windy, Foggy, Sunny

Setup: Place the Trump Map in the center
of the table. Place an unused first player
token near the map, ready to be used.
Winning Suit Becomes Trump:
The suit that won the sale becomes the
trump suit for the next sale.
Mark the Trump Suit: Mark the trump
suit by placing the token on edge of the map
near the icon of the new trump suit.
Trump Suit wins: Trump suit cards beat
every on suit card, even if the trump suit card
has a higher value. If multiple trump suit
cards are played, the last lowest trump wins.
8
Can’t lead with Trump Suit: The first
player must play a card that isn’t a trump suit.
If the first player only has trump suit cards in
their hand, they must reveal them and then
discard their entire hand.
Wild Suit: For purposes of trump suits,
treat wild cards as if they are their own suit.
If you win a sale with a wild card, wild cards
become trump suit.
Trump rules don’t affect other uses of wild
cards, such as with set cards or with force
follow rules in solo, co-op, and teams.

5-8 player games: Remember, there are

2 winners per sale in 5-6 player games and
3 winners per sale in 7-8 player games.
When determining who wins a sale:
➡ The players that played the last
lowest trump suit cards win the sale.
➡ If you need more winners, see who
played the last lowest on suit cards.
➡ If you need more winners, see who
played the last lowest off suit cards.

Team Rules-People Edition
If you have Park Life People Edition, use
these rules to play with teams. You can play
with symmetric or asymmetric teams.
Object: Players win or lose with their team
after three rounds.

Setup: Deal cards according to the chart

below.
3-4 Players: You can play with either
Pocket or Deluxe People Edition.
5-8 Players: Combine the Deluxe People
Edition with Deluxe Hedgehog Edition to
play with up to 8 players. Refer to the
Deluxe People rulebook for 5-8 player rules.

Team Markers: Mark players of both
teams with different items. If you have
Hedgehog Edition, you can use caterpillars
cards and tokens to mark the two teams.
Seats: Team members sit evenly around
the table, not next to each other.
Table Talk: You may openly discuss cards
in your hand, but you may not communicate
secretly with your team members.

Balanced. 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4.

Everyone must play on suit if able.
Each team’s score is equal to its team
member with the lowest score.

Asymmetric. There are two teams, the

Big Team and the Little Team.
Big Team: Big Team members must play
on suit if able. The team’s score is equal to
its member with the highest score.
Little Team: For purposes of winning a
sale, every card Little Team members play
is considered on suit. The Little Team’s
score is equal to its member with the
lowest score.

Winning: The team with the highest score

after 3 rounds wins the game.
