Come Holy Spirit, Creator Blest (Veni, Creator Spiritus)
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
and in our souls take up Thy rest;
come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
to fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
O comforter, to Thee we cry,
O heavenly gift of God Most High,
O fount of life and fire of love,
and sweet anointing from above.
Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known;
Thou, finger of God's hand we own;
Thou, promise of the Father, Thou
Who dost the tongue with power imbue.

O God Almighty, who suffered death upon the cross, particularly for my sins, be with me.
Holy Cross of Jesus, have pity on me.
Holy Cross of Jesus, be my protector.
Holy Cross of Jesus, take away all bitter pains.
Holy Cross of Jesus, take away all evil.
Holy Cross of Jesus, let me walk in the way of salvation.
Preserve me from any temporal accidents, take away any danger of sudden death. I always
adore the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ: Jesus of Nazareth crucified, have pity on me; make the
spirit of evil leave me for all times.
O Mother of Perpetual Succour. I come before Thy Sacred picture and with a child-like
conscience invoke thine aid. Show Thyself a Mother to me now.
Have pity on me. O, dearest Mother of Perpetual Succour, for the love Thou bearest to Jesus
and in honour of His Sacred Wounds, help me in this my necessity..

Prayer Before a Crucifix
BEHOLD, O good and sweetest Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with
the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee to impress upon my heart lively
sentiments of faith, hope and charity, with true repentance for my sins and a most firm desire
of amendment: whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I consider within myself and
mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds, having before mine eyes that which
David, the prophet, long ago spoke in Thine Own person concerning Thee, my Jesus: They
have pierced My hands and My feet, they have numbered all My bones. [Psalm 21, 17, 18].
August Queen of Heaven,
August Queen of Heaven, sovereign Mistress of the Angels, thou who from the beginning
hast received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we humbly
beseech thee to send thy holy legions, that under thy command and by thy power they may
pursue the evil spirits, encounter them on every side, resist their bold attacks, and drive them
hence into eternal woe.
Who is like unto God?
O good and tender Mother, thou willest always to be our love and our hope.
O Mother of God, send thy holy Angels to defend us and drive far from us the cruel enemy.
Holy Angels and Archangels, defend us and keep us. Amen.
Pope’s Prayer Intention – August: For Mutual Coexistence
As we welcome the Salib into our parish and homes,
we pray that our community, and all societies struggling with division
may not give in to hatred or conflict.
May the Cross of Christ inspire us to embrace one another
in love and peace, despite our differences in race, religion, politics, or beliefs.
Through the intercession of St. Jude, please help me to always be open to the presence of
God. Help me to remember how important my forgiveness toward others can bring about
communion and reconciliation. I will continue to pray for peace between nations. But I also
want to contribute to building peace in the corners of the world that I live in, and with the
people I meet , whether I know them well or not. May God grant my family healing and
peace. And may He grant me peace and strength as I continue to follow Jesus’ teachings.
Thank you, St. Jude, for being a source of hope and for bringing my petitions to God.

The Magnificat
+ My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Helena
Holy and Blessed St. Helena, with love and devotion you sought to find the Cross of Our
Savior. I plead for your intercession that I may have the same love and devotion to Jesus my
Lord. Like you, may I accept the trials of life with patience and hope. Under your protection,
may I carry the Cross which the Lord has given me in this life and one day may I share with
you the Crown of life eternal.
St. Helena, finder of the Cross, pray for us. Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, You were pleased to reveal to St. Helena the place where Your Cross was
hidden, in order through her to enrich Your Church with this inestimable treasure: give ear to
her prayers, and accept this tree of life as the price of our attaining to eternal happiness, You
who are God, living and reigning.
