Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Materials on Learners’


Rights and Protection

1. In line with DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012, which establishes the Child Protection Policy to
safeguard learners from abuse, violence, exploitation, discrimination, bullying, and other forms of
harm, San Antonio Elementary School will conduct an Information, Education, and
Communication (IEC) campaign to enhance awareness of Learners’ Rights and Protection (LRP).

2. This initiative aims to:


a. Promote understanding among learners, teachers, and stakeholders about children’s rights
in the school setting;
b. Disseminate IEC materials to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the provisions of
the Child Protection Policy;
c. Encourage proactive participation in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning
environment.

3. Specific Guidelines:
a. IEC materials such as posters, brochures, and digital presentations will be distributed and
posted in strategic areas within the school.
b. Class advisers shall allocate time to discuss the content of the IEC materials with their
learners.
c. Teachers are encouraged to integrate discussions on children’s rights and protection into
appropriate subject areas.

4. All personnel must ensure strict adherence to the principles and guidelines stated in DepEd Order
No. 40, s. 2012.
