Human Development Reports (HDRs) are
produced by the Human Development Report
OfÏce for the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP).
They have been published annually since 1990.
In 2022, India achieved a Human Development
Index (HDI) score of 0.644, ranking 134th out of 193 countries in the UN's 2023-24 report.
This places India in the 'Medium Human Development' Category.
Compared to an HDI of 0.434 in 1990, the 2022 score shows a 48.4% improvement.
