PROCEDURE:
Due to possible fatigue of material of the tube arm a retaining clamp must installed.

Installation of the retaining clamp

• Unscrew four screws and remove the cover plate (a) for the
wall Bucky connectors.

• Loosen two screws and slightly lift the top cover (c).
• Unscrew three screws and remove the left side cover (d),
make sure not to damage the protective ground wire.

WARNING

Dangerous capacitor voltage is still present after the system

has been disconnected from mains.
For safe operation on internal circuitry strictly follow the
specified procedure!
_____________________

• Set the discharge switch to “discharge”.

• Wait for 5 minutes.
• Make sure that the yellow indicator lights are off.
• Use a voltmeter to check that the “+” and “-“ voltages are
lower than 10 V DC with respect to ground.
• After installation work is finished set the discharge switch
back to “ normal”.
• Restore normal operating conditions.

• Remove the left and right tube arm cover.

• Remove the cover and the parking interlock plate above
the swivel joint.

• To place the arm into a position that the retaining clamp

can be installed over the swivel joint, push, for instance, a
screwdriver grip under the bar as indicated in the image so
that the arm is fixed for further work.
The bar is a part of the system. It is located at the
right-hand inner side of the tower.

• Push the clamp over the joint.

• Determine the fixing point of the clamp and mark it with the
center punch.

• Predrill a hole in the metal tube with a diameter of 4.6 mm.

Take care to drill exactly vertically with respect to the tube
arm.

• Enlarge the hole to 8.6 mm and debur its edges.

• Remove all metal swarf from the system. For that reason
move the arm into the lowest position and eject the swarf
with soft hammer hits and a vacuum cleaner.

• Take care that the countersink of the clamp is at the upper

side.
• Fix the clamp with the M8x40 screw, washer M8 3d and the
normal M8 nut.
(This procedure ensures that the clamp sits closely to the
tube).
• To hold the nut use the delivered short open-end wrench
13 across flats.

NOTE

To make installation easier first position the nut under the hole
on the lower side of the clamp and then insert the screw with
the washer and bolt them together.
_________________

• Tighten the screw so that the clamp fits closely to the metal
tube. This is very important for further installation.

• Remove the screw and the nut.

• Take care that the countersink of the clamp is at the upper
side.

• Install the countersunk screw M8x35 with Loctite.
• Tighten the screw.

• Check the up and down movement of the arm, it must not

be obstructed anywhere. Check that the arm can be moved
up and down as far as before.

• If the screw head or the clamp scrapes at the metal clip in

front of the metal tube, bend the clip a little bit so that the
screw is not restricted by the metal clip.
This can be performed with a ring spanner as indicated in
the images.

• Install the cover over the swivel joint without installing the
parking interlock plate. Use only the small screws as shown
in the image. The screws from the parking interlock could
be to long and might scrape the metal clip.

NOTE

Reason why the parking interlock mechanism needs to

removed:
Due to possible improper of the parking interlock it may
happen that the parking interlock damages parts of the bearing
bushing of the arm of the unit. Therefore the parking interlock
must be removed and replaced by a clip band after the
retaining clamp is installed.
_________________

• Install the front side and the top cover

• Remember to set the discharge switch to “normal“
operation.

• Install the left-hand and right-hand arm cover. Use the

delivered screws M4x8 as shown in the image.

Installation of the new parking interlock

• Determine the holes for the new interlock at the system

base. The holes must be drilled 35 cm away from the base
plate.

• Drill the holes with the 4.6m drill bit.

• Fix the new interlock clip belt with the 5 mm screws with
the large washer at both sides. Fix the belt in such a way
that the lock is on the front side of the tube arm.

NOTE

Use the holes with the wider distance.
